Europe gets the shaft again - Silent Hill:Homecoming delayed until February 2009

Europeans are used to getting the shaft, whether there's excuses for it or not, but we haven't had it too bad in the last few months. After all the major releases for this and the next few months are all coming out over here on time. Well, until now.

From CVG comes the news of Konami announcing that Silent Hill: Homecoming will be delayed in Europe until February 2009, for seemingly no reason. Of course there's the language barrier but that hasn't stopped previous Silent Hill games and it's not as if the game has had bad reviews. Either way, being a Silent Hill fan, this isn't very good news and as CVG points out, this means that Silent Hill: Homecoming will now be released a month before Resident Evil 5. Could this be a possible reason for it's delay? I doubt it but either way not good news indeed.

Wow that sucks. Oh well, I wasn't planning to pick it up new at the very least so this'll probably just mean it drops off of my radar entirely and never gets played. Hopefully Konami will keep the next one in house and not copy the shit out of Res Evil.

Chadandjody: Not really. We're getting most of the holiday games on time, and we usually get releases a few days later than the US and JAP.

Hey there. The name is Gibbo (my real name is Jamie Gibson). I was born April 15th 1993 in Chester Countess Hospital, which is in the oh so lovely country of England. I'm a jack of all trades gamer for the most part, not caring whatever console I'm playing on or what game as long as I'm enjoying it. I've been playing games for the best part of 13 years now from memory but I was about 2 or 3 when I supposedly played Sonic the Hedgehog on the good old Sega MegaDrive, or Sega Genesis for you Americans out there. I believe that I have a good sense of humour or at least that's the impression I get. That being said I can also be serious when needs be, but that's a rare occurrence around here. Finally, I've been at Destructoid for about a year and a half and I run operations at European Friday Night Fights.
