EDIT: CONFIRMATION THAT MARTH AND NESS IS NOT AN EMISSARY ASSIST CHARACTER!

This image matches up with the previously shown leaked vid of the starting roster, so I am inclined to believe it This also confirms the return of the dark menu background! Perhaps you can customize that option (I always loved Melee's dark background)?






When you compare these two, they match up VERY well. Also note that this roster mockup was made LONG before today's developments. This may be the final roster. And yes, there are some moved to different spots, but that happened in Melee as well. Characters move around when new ones are unlocked. This follows up with the 35-character roster as well.




LUIGI!!! I am inclined to believe this because it matches up with the old leaked roster vid.

Capcom and Squeenix are not listed in the credits and therefore, they are not in Brawl. Also, there will most likely not be another 3rd party character for Brawl as there is not another big 3rd party one listed here. ALTHOUGH they COULD do another one from Sega or Konami, but that would debunk the roster shot above.

EDIT: Okay, DanielMachine just brought up a great point. Apparently, Sega and Konami may only be in the credits shown above because they are shown in the intro vid. He says that INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS wasn't in the credits until Marth was unlocked, so it's possible that those characters will be unlocked later. HOWEVER. This still conflicts with the roster mock-up shown above.
