Hey everybody, Genki-JAM here. You may or may not know me from such awesome things as Ventrilo, BlueWolf's Radio Show, or Failcast. Well if you don't know me, then let me introduce myself... also this!

Okay, you back? Great. Yes, that is me (and just so you know, that was me when I'm tired). I also enjoy long walks in the game aisle, the color blue, and eating ice cream from the carton in my underwear.

Great! Now that we know each other, we can get down to business!




THE REASON
So I'm starting a fund raiser. "For who," you ask? Why for me! Why? Because I REALLY don't feel like shelling out the money for a couple (or even one!) of those fancy DualShock 3's that have just been confirmed to be $55 when they hit the US. This is where YOU come in! I have decided that the best way to make money for this purchase is not to go and get a job (phht! That's ridiculous!) but to use my talent of voice acting/imitations!!





THE PROPOSAL
My proposal to you all is this: I will make a 12-song album of songs by YOUR request in voices on any character I can do (you can either view the list below or look at my banner). All you have to do is pledge 5 dollars to my cause via Paypal or mail (email: genkijam at gmail.com). You can either do this at the time of your request or send in your pledge before I release the album (I'll be sure to notify you before releasing it). I'm placing my trust on you all (crazy, ain't it?) to follow through with your promise to pledge if you do so.

For example: "Through the Fire and Flames - Scooby & Shaggy"
(Also, listen to Failcast 3 where I will be talking about this and will have a sample of what is possible)


THE DETAILS
After enough requests (only from people that are willing to donate $5), I will create a poll (if there are more than 12 requests) to narrow down the selection and will then create the songs. These songs will be as good a quality as I can make (some songs may be a bit more difficult to find a "lyric-less" version of, but should be possible--and I welcome any help from people that may HAVE a "karaoke" version of a requested song).


GUIDELINES
1) Please choose a song that is at least relatively well known. You don't HAVE to and can really pick whatever song you want. But really, where are the lulz in that?

2) Please pick a voice from my list of characters and not your own. I MIGHT be able to do a character you request, but the possibility is slim and might end up sucking (I HAVE been known to do voices I never thought I could do and really well).

3) THINK OF THE LULZ WHEN MAKING YOUR REQUEST!

(You may notice that there are some characters not listed here that are in my banner. This is because I am unsure about how well those will come out. But if you want them, I will comply)


DISTRIBUTION
I would like to make the album available to the whole community, but if my patrons request to be the only ones with copies of the album, then I will honor that request. Though I cannot guarantee that one of the other patrons will agree with that and may disperse the album themselves (this IS the internet, after all). So please keep that in mind. Patrons are donating money for a song on the album

NOTICE---read this!!
I am COMPLETELY serious about doing this, so don't think I'll just do some lame crappy recording. I do NOT have fancy recording equipment, so it won't sound as good as something by I KILL PXLS. However, I am good at creating quality out of materials that many would consider less than stellar. Also, realize that I would be doing the songs the way these characters would do them--so some might not necessarily sing or be very good singers if the DO end up singing.
