Atlus announces Yggdra Union PSP

I called it last week but today, Atlus officially announced Yggdra Union PSP for the US, due to come out in mid-September.

Looks like Atlus is pulling out all the stops to sell the game this time around. Not only are we getting the original Japanese voices, but we're getting the GOOD English VA's (Durant is voiced by the same guy who did Akihiko in Persona, Kylier is done by Yukari's VA) to boot. They're also putting up ads this time, which makes me giddy.

The game's going to be an upgrade of the original in every possible way. More characters, better sound quality(the GBA music was already impressive, and the sound samples on the site say this is going to be a treat), better graphical quaity, improved game balance, multiple difficulty levels, the works.

EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I'm so excited.

I could have sworn that I heard they were porting it right after the GBA release anyway. Oh well. One more reason to buy a PSP.

Is it true the PSP version forces you to play sissy mode in order to unlock the real hard game?

And yeah, it was pretty obvious it was YU PSP due to the cards.

@Taira: Nobody's sure yet. Apparently that was true for the JP version, but sometimes those kinds of things get changed for the US release.

Although, most of the super special content is contained in Hard Mode only, so it may be something they want you to unlock. Who knows? As far as I can tell, the only major difference between Easy and Hard is that it's much easier to recover Morale in Easy.

I did say this was coming, as the video has been on Youtube for a while now. Great stuff, I'll have to buy it again.

Next up Atlus, release Persona 1 and 2 on PSP, please.

YES! I read in here the rumor about it and thought it would be a smart move by Atlus to sell YU on the PSP, and since my copy got scratched and doesn't work anymore this means good news to me.

Normally I'm not interested in buying remakes of games I already own... or PSP games... or Strategy RPG games (some exceptions)...

But the things your hyped about is starting to get me hyped as well.
