GeekSquad Real Stories 1.0
GeekSquad | 12:18 AM on 09.24.2008 14 comments

Ill keep this one short and to the point. Someone in our team was doing a data backup and saved all his data from his laptop that he had in Iraq. He put the data back onto a different laptop that didnt belong to the to the Marine. He put it on the customer that was from a different religion and belief thats all I can say. It was a stupid mistake and I feel bad for my bud when he comes into work tomorrow.

With that I am playing lots of Tekken on my PS3 and I made it to a Lone Wolf today.

When I used to work for the Squad I did a databack up that had an entire porno movie stored on the drive and it wouldn't fit onto a dvd. So I shrunk it to fit, dvd shrink ftw, and had to tell the mother what was on the disc, "possible questionable material" is the phrase I used I think. She didn't seem to care that much as her son was over 16 I believe.

Comments policy

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
