Yet Another Movie This One Called "Army Of Two"
GeekSquad | 12:29 PM on 10.26.2008 8 comments

Yes the title is correct the lame PS3 game we all know as Army of Two is being transformed into a movie. With The Sims and Mass Effect already in the works, Electronic Arts is looking to make more and more $ at any cost. Via Variety, Scott Stuber will produce, while Bourne Ultimatum co-writer Scott Z Burns is currently working on the script.

Wowzers I cant wait. A pair of military contractors becoming caught up in a vast global conspiracy. Guns blazing, people dieing and 2 guys saving the world. No word who would act this movie out as of yet.

"Because people experience the game in pairs, playing two guys who go against the world, Scott and I agreed this format presented an opportunity to make a great buddy film," Burns said. "The ambiguity of these private military corporations lends weight to an intelligent thriller with relevance to what's going on in the world right now. You have contractors with their own agendas, and two guys whose friendship supersedes all the politics."

Gamers Election Point Of View (full of Sarcasm)
GeekSquad | 6:19 PM on 10.08.2008 3 comments

While I am still at a loss on who to vote for this year, I decided to look at each ticket from a gamers' point of view. Which ticket to vote for will be a level up or down depending on how they do.

McCain - Palin is one ticket that is hard to follow but is the one that I am leaning toward. He has served in the military and let's face it, there are an endless amount of military games. He reminds me of a Sgt Slaughter and also of Duke Nukem. You just never know what he's gonna say. Palin strikes me as a person who was at level 1, but then who leveled up (for those MMO lovers) and made a name for herself (politically speaking) in Alaska. She reminds me of characters you would find in the video games of Carmen Sandiego. You know, "Where in the world is Palin? " And, honestly, Palin just rubs me the wrong way, always giving obscure details, not really giving her opinions, but generalizing things to appease people.

Obama - Biden is a hard one to follow as well. I feel like I need a player's game guide to find the hidden secrets and information I need in order to make a solid voting decision. Obama is hard to relate to a video game, but when I watch him on TV attempt to answer a valid question, he reminds me of Mike Tyson's "Punch Out", skipping and dancing around the questions instead of answering it. Can I get knocked out before he just honestly answers a guestion. Biden without a doubt is Jack Thompson but a politician. Biden is happy to tell you how he feels about a subject that gets him TV time. He will be pro this and pro that but once he is on TV he just rants and raves.

Back to fixing computers - Boo Ya!

GeekSquad Real Stories 1.0

Ill keep this one short and to the point. Someone in our team was doing a data backup and saved all his data from his laptop that he had in Iraq. He put the data back onto a different laptop that didnt belong to the to the Marine. He put it on the customer that was from a different religion and belief thats all I can say. It was a stupid mistake and I feel bad for my bud when he comes into work tomorrow.

With that I am playing lots of Tekken on my PS3 and I made it to a Lone Wolf today.

GeekSquad Real Stories 1
GeekSquad | 10:03 PM on 09.20.2008 29 comments

So today was a fun day. I had to deal with 2 crazy people and I am tired. Hamza asked that I post these stories so I figured I would offer what I had to deal with.

*Customer 1; (We offer data back up before we send computers out to the service center for repair if we cant fix the units in the store) The customers computer is back and is yelling at the front counter that if we didn't back up his data we are in a world of hurt. I decide to come to the counter to manage the situation and I pull up his paper work and show him that (he) signed the spot and stamp and put his signature on the paperwork when he dropped the computer off to not get a data backup. He decides to say that this is not his signature and that we have moved papers around to cover our asses. So i get his paper work from the month prior and show him the same signatures. So he claims I am out to get him and he will be suing me and BestBuy. We hand him his laptop and we went to the back and had some good laughs on his expense. Just when I think it is over I hear screaming from the front of the store that BestBuy has stolen data and he is just saying it over and over. He gets on the phone and calls the police and wants BestBuy arrested for theft. In the end we had to show the police the tickets and his signatures and they asked him to leave.

*Customer 2; Customer refused the service plan BestBuy offers and dropped her camera in the 9th month of her owning it and demanded that we send it off to the service center. They sent it back saying no we will not fix under the warranty as it was dropped. The customer called in 4 times to yell at us. Her husband called in mad since his wife was upset and we explained the situation and he decided to tell us a wild story that when he purchased the camera the person who helped him took it out of the box and dropped it and refused to give them a new camera and he took the camera broken and meant to call in and tell us of this travesty but couldn't find out number. I had to call these amazing people back and tell them how we could and couldn't help. They put me on speaker phone and they start fighting and she hit her husband and he starts to cry. So I decided to put them on speaker phone as they forgot all about me and they are screaming and she is hitting him and he is screaming stop it your hurting my feelings. In the end I hung up and they didnt call back.

Thanks for the read and if I have any amazing dips hits visit I will be posting. I have never blog'd before so any pointers will help.
