Coming to a gaming community to recruit gamers for your community must have sounded better on paper.
Hey, thanks for all the comments everyone! I already enjoy the activity here on DToid :)
The GoG is a bit different than some of the other communities, in that it's a simplified place for gamers to connect and develop cool game related connections. We also have a Gaming resource dimension that we hope game tournaments, developers, and so on will use to create a self sufficient community of gamers.
We know you have alot of choices on the Internet, but we hope you'll check out The GoG and see what you think...

You hope to have these or ..? I mean, can I qualify for these at your site right now?
There's many tools for you to connect with friends and local events. Because we're still very fresh on the market, we're looking harder for actual event organizers to use The GoG to promote and spread the word about their events.
Whether it's a console event, LAN, clan development, or just general party ideas, you'll have to jump on and check everything out...

Looking at the site (which i did), it looks like a game oriented place of mice (see what I id thar?) which, I think is a good thing. though not for me. Cheers for letting me know though :-)

I think if your intro had been more format appropriate (blog-style vs. press release), it would have gone more smoothly.

You're probably right MaxVest. I didn't mean for people to leave Dtoid and join our game or to sound too official announcement-like, just wanted to share the newly released monster we've got :)
