OBJECTION! Phoenix Wright cosplayer + me at Video Games Live Toronto

My name is Matthew and I write a small blog called The Quixotic Engineer about nerdy things. I'm a Software Engineering student at Concordia University in Montreal. My love of video games started with my dad's ColecoVision and has no signs of stopping.

Take it away, Runaway Five!

Mass Effect Credits Song
Gangles | 7:03 PM on 02.23.2008 14 comments

Still Alive was the credits song to end all credits songs, and I don't think anyone will top it anytime soon. That being said, with the flood of great games that arrived at the end of 2007, I think a lot of greatness got lost in the shuffle. Namely, the Mass Effect credits song.

Perhaps you don't have a 360, or maybe the technical issues turned you off the game. You might even have finished Mass Effect but not bothered to watch the credits. In any case, if you missed it, take a good listen now:

The song is called M4 (Part 2) by Faunts off the album of the same name (the whole of which is worth a listen as well.)

While Still Alive is still the reigning champ, are there any other video game credits songs that you enjoyed? The quality of the ending itself notwithstanding, was the MUSIC good?

Is this post awesome? Vote it up!

That was quite awesome.
Off the top of my head, Earthbound (Both this track and this track, Mother 3 (Sorry no link) and Super Smash Bros 64 (Link) had great credit songs. Smash 64's is so good that they used it as a BGM in Brawl.

I like it! Its very futuristic/alien sounding... But the only problem with this is that I dont like listening to the same guitar riff for 8 whole minutes. I would like something more unpredictable.

Music can really make or break a game.

the music in mass effect was perhaps the best music i've ever heard in a game. the composer found my ass and went straight up in it

I have to be honest, although I hated the game, I really enjoyed the credits music.

That was pretty good, actually. I can't believe I missed this when I finished Mass Effect.

I did a c-blog post about this a while back. Seriously though that games soundtrack is the tits.

I bought the soundtrack and got it playing on my ways to work regularly. Gets an awful lot of funny looks but fuck it.

I liked the song too, I felt it went really well with the end of the game.
