It's not 'PSX'. It's not the 10th Playstation. PS1 or Playstation 1 will do fine thanks. Gawd.
For whatever reason, the term PSX was used a lot around the time it came out. At least in the US.
It was commonly known as the PSX in the US. The PSX in Japan was a PS2/TiVo combo type thing.
Just finished listening to the podcast, and I have to say I've only played about 30% of your PS1 game library. *grew up with an N64* I have played Vagrant Story, though, and just couldn't get into it.
The only reason I was quite is that I have a semi large library of Tactical RPGs, but neither of you two have played even half of them, so I let you guys talk about games I've never played ;)
psx stands for playstation xperimental, not playstation 10. It was referred to as often during development iirc >< Gawd.
@armless: YOU DIDN'T LIKE VAGRANT STORY????!!! Well...okay :). I SUPPOSE I still like you.
@Rangoric: I know, dear:).
@Dao2-SKP: I didn't know what the X stood for until now, I always kinda assumed that they just thought it sounded cool. Thanks.
