Any Dream Theater fans here, or have you all been brainwashed by the screamo shit? Please tell me that you appreciate good metal when you hear it. You know, the kind where the lead singer actually sings. Holy shit, what an idea!

Take Forsaken for instance. It has a nice piano intro and then the guitar comes out of nowhere and kicks all sorts of ass. Best of all, you don't have some poor excuse for a frontman doing that low pitched demonic growl.

Never heard of them, but I did a quick search for some of their songs. Yes, I'm afraid I cannot stomach the vocals (or lack thereof).

For all I know, half of these bands have singers that can actually sing -- but fail to do so out of "style." To those of us who grew up on Sabbath, Maiden, Priest and such, this is an abomination to Metal. Sing, you fucks!

Screamo is different than metal. When I hear scream, I think shit bands like the used. Punk bands who try to scream just to sound badass. There are plenty of metal bands that don't "sing" who kick ass though. Phil anselmo of Pantera certainly didn't sing, and they are were an awesome band. There is not one bit of singing on any Lamb of God song, and they are one of the best bands out there. So, yes, screamo sucks. Metal does not.

Yeah, I've never been into any screamy bands. The most I can take is Slayer, and he's not really screaming, just sort of yelling. But anyone who says that "Reign In Blood" isn't the best metal album of all time will get my cock in their eye.

I grew up on classic Maiden, Anthrax and Metallica (before they started sucking each other's dicks on the black album). So yeah, I like singing. Emo/Screamo just makes me want to kick those spoiled fucking rich suburban white boys in the nuts.

Static-X is a great metal band, though in some songs they're all screamo.

Screamo does indeed suck, and I cannot wait for this current trend to die, or at least fade out and become underground. 80's hair metal and some newer aged stuff is the best and always will be.

And I like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Off topic, but meh, they're good.
