About Me
Just another middle-aged man trying his best to recapture his fleeting youth through such things as video games, electric guitar, and the occasional beer. I'm hardly the reckless type, not much on calculated risks, and I like to think that I've made at least a couple of people smile, laugh, and shake their heads once or twice during my walk through life. Yeah.... that's the ticket.

Guess what? Loved the beginning, liked the middle, and was pleased with the ending. Just what exactly do you people want out of a game? As far as I'm concerned, Halo 3 looks pretty good, and was a real joy to complete. Great job, Bungie.

I agree. Except for the regular people's faces. They did not look pretty good.

Now, where are mah marshmellows, I sense flames from somewhere.

I agree as well. I loved the single player, and I thought the ending fit nicely.

I throughly enjoyed all of it.

Though I would really appreciate if they could officially clarify the legendary ending. Sadly, that's not going to happen.

I would say I disagree with you and explain why, but I'm sick and fucking tired of these fucking flame wars and I'll be damned if I start one this time around. so I'm keeping my mouth shut.

Hoygeit: if you play through it twice on legendary using only the unlockable ninja sword you get the 'true' ending. This includes such things as:

Master Chief revealed to be James Earl Jones

Cortana doing a striptease

Arbiter revealed to be your sister

Huge party at Lon Lon Ranch

I hope that clears up any further questions you may have.

I enjoyed it, all in all a solid experience.

*Spoilers*

I know some people are saying the ending leaves it open for more "Master Chief Halo's" but for me, and I'm probably making up things trying to be deep, it seemed very Arthurian Legend to me. The big hero and leader going away but if and when he is needed again he will return. Like I said I'm probably trying to read to much into it.

SPOILERS ON YOUR FACE SPOILING YOUR HALOES

Personally, I think the legendary ending probably points to Marathon somehow. Former Bungie head Alex Seropian once said that Master Chief is the same dude from their Marathon games. I'm not sure how the legendary ending points to it, but it wouldn't surprise me. And if Chief's in cryo, he could probably survive for a couple hundred years. Or not. Whatever.

I agree with Sharpless on this one. Bungie's said no more Halo games will be developed by them, but they've said nothing about a Marathon remake.

Not entirely correct, AJ. Bungie said that this Halo story is only a trilogy. They've never said that they'd never make another Halo game. There could well be a Halo 4, but it won't continue the whole Covenant/Flood/Halo saga, since that was wrapped up in H3. After all, there is that Peter Jackson project coming out, which is Halo-related and will be made by Bungie.
