However, from what it sounds like, you could be fine buying just the first game. While $60 is still pretty steep for a PC game, I doubt they'll keep you from playing as Protoss and/or Zerg in multiplayer if you buy just the first game.
Anyway, Its a shame that the storylines wont be like the earlier games, so that we could get one epic conclusion, instead of 3 seperate conclusions tailored for each race.
The more Starcraft the better.

Think of it like they're releasing Starcraft, then Brood War, then another expansion. This is episodic content done correctly.
The fact that - Well, if it IS a campaign, I wanna play all the classes for one price, not three. And from the sounds of it.. it isnt a expansion, its a extension. Think of it as halo 3, except done at almost the same time, at a 50 to 60 dollar price range, with one story line and no gameplay changes besides race?

I do think developers should stop discussing plans to make extra content or sequels before the first game is out -it leaves a sour taste when so many churn out bullshit DLC packs- but this isn't the case here.
