Then again, I'm not afraid to play as more than one character like some people are.
I guess I play "cheap" occasionally but usually only after the other player is doing it to me. (or if Im losing, hehe)
but, even when playing cheap there are people who kick my ass. buy either a) being cheaper, or b) having lots of skill.
I guess if you are a really skilled player you should still have the advantage on a button smasher, and when I match up against people playing as Kilik I usually do ok.
Just figure out a new strategy and maybe one day you too will be able to defeat someone playing as Kilik.
(that apprentice lightning shit he shoots across the screen is ridiculous though)
Well, if your using Cervantes then you should be able to win fairly easy against Kilik. If those darned button smashers are getting on your nerves then just spam Cervantes' "OMG FLY AT YOU ON FIRE AND PWN YOUR FACE" move by pushing:
<- + X + Y (I think it's X and Y on the 360 controller. On the PS3 it's Square and Triangle. Which is the top and left buttons.)
Cervantes pretty much smashes through anyone with that not to mention he teleports backwards before he does it so you can avoid lots of hits with that.
That's what I do anyways. Either that of I use Vader to knock people down and keep using the force slam move to keep them down if they've done nothing but spam me with the same attack over and over. Oh, and turtles.....hate em.
If they're just using the same two moves over and over, learn to counter those two moves and you will always win because they're not going to do anything else.
And like some here have said, if you know what move they going to spam, find a way around it. Part of the game is learning your opponent's attack patterns and exploiting their weaknesses. I think using the same move over and over is a pretty big weakness.
Oh and marking players "lacking Skill" because you lost, button mashing or not, isn't a cool thing to do...

A choice quotation:
"...why can the scrub not defeat something so obvious and telegraphed as a single move done over and over? Is he such a poor player that he can't counter that move?"
