Oh. My.
Well, to be honest I never did see this one coming, and I'll be damned, this is some fine news for X-Box 360 owners everywhere.
Now yes... it'll be multiple disks, and yes, the quality will probably be dumbed down some, but I don't care. I want to play it. I never could afford a PS3 and now, from the looks of things I don't need to get one.
But a few things come to mind.
Sony is losing exclusives left and right. First it was Grand Theft Auto, then it was Final Fantasy. Now Metal Gear Solid is possibly hitting the 360. Are they THAT BAD when it comes to profitable games? I mean, I'm not a Sony hater by any means (Hell I owned a PS1 and PS2 throughout their entire life cycle.) but I'm actually starting to worry about what Sony is doing over there.
Still. I'm excited by the news. Even if it IS just a renewed rumor.
1) The only reason anyone watched Trigun was for Johnny Yong Bosch
2)MGS4 is not the second coming like MGS2.
@Dan Citi
"[Kojima] has been quoted in several interviews saying a port was likely impossible due to the game being optimized for the PS3 hardware, specifically Blu-ray discs."
No, it wouldn't. Compressing the audio, which would make no identifiable difference to the average person, would massively reduce the size of the thing. Does MGS4 really use that many more textures and many hours more audio than something like Lost Odyssey (4 discs)? I find that hard to believe.
Since when did disc changes become a major issue anyway? PS1/2 had them and nobody cried. Get off your couches once in a while you fat fucks.
