From my experince at walmart you can only return it and get the exact same thing exchanged.
Unless.... you throw a huge fit.

That's what me and my roommates used when our 360 broke 32 days after purchase. The thing is, we really did talk to corporate but I have used that a few times since then on other stuff and it worked fine.
That being said I saw a guy return a jar of peanuts that was 95% gone. He claimed they gave him nightmares. They took it no questions asked.
