Howdy! Welcome to another edition of A Compulsive Collector’s Haul! So about a month and a half has passed since my last update, and have I got quite the haul to share this time. Also, I WAS suppose to post this last week, but emergency eye surgery prevented that, so keep a lookout for a blog about taking care of your eyes to extend your gaming life soon! Let’s begin with swag/promos for a change . . .
Let’s see, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest – Limited Edition Witch-King Sword Replica, with the hard covered The Art of Rise of the Argonauts under that. I also got the Star Wars Episode I: Racer guide along with the game from eBay, but decided to throw it in here, hahaha. Silent Hill: Homecoming Soundtrack, Lovely Lisa Pen Keychain (which also has a mirror on the other side), Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories Postcards. I got the Nintendo Catalog 2008 and the Wii/DS Carrying Bag from the Nintendo Rep that visits the Best Buy I work part-time at.
Once again, my local “Hey! Let’s spend tons of money on games!” hangout of Cash Converters pulled through for me again, plus I got a game I’ve been chasing forever from Goozex . . . Rez! Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Maximo vs. Army of Zin, Siren, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (hells yeah!), Futurama (holy hell I’ve been looking for this FOREVER), and Shadow of Rome!
So, regular readers of my blog will know that I happen to be lucky enough to know one of the nicest/coolest guys around, in terms of my buddy Dave (or better yet, Diamond “Freaking” Dave)! He managed to get me a freaking in box Virtual Pistol! I’ve never heard of it, nor seen one or used one before, but all I know is that thing looks FREAKING SWEET! Besides that, I now own TWO copies of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, only this one is more awesome because it’s boxed! Also got From the Abyss, Bleach: Dark Souls, Lock’s Quest, and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals.
This batch I actually bought new for full price, or awesome Christmas prices from EB Games, Superstore, and Rogers Video. Ignorant stores like Superstore and Rogers Video can net you cheap awesome games! Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble ($5 sealed), Opoona ($20 sealed), No More Heroes, Battalion Wars 2, Musashi: Samurai Legend, Castle Shikigami 2, Raiden III, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core.
More awesome, with Star Wars Episode I: Racer sealed with the guide from eBay for $8! Populous DS, The Settlers, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Korg DS-10, and Astro Boy: Omega Factor.
So, last time I checked, there are just a FEW fans of Persona 4 on Destructoid! Well, I got the game, plus not one, but TWO copies of the Visual Data, one of which I’ll add to my “doubles” of promo stuff that I’ll give away in a contest sometime in the future. So, if you’re interested in it, keep an eye on my blog once I figure out what kind of contest to have. Also, doing a recent check, it seems that the $30 Social Link Expansion Pack from Amazon now goes for $100 on eBay, not like I’d be getting rid of mine, but it seems that it’s in high demand. Side B Soundtrack, Teddie Plush, 2009 Calendar, and T-Shirt = awesome Persona win in my eyes!
Well that does it for another edition of A Compulsive Collector’s Haul. I hope you guys had some awesome hauls like I did and such, and I’ll see you next time!
*Edited: I'll see you if my goddamn eye hurries the hell up and heals . . . -_-'*
You already featured me on the Community thing one weekend like in December or something maybe? o_O That was my initial first post blog you showed, when I hit 600 games. I'm at like about 750 now, hahaha! I did change up my basement a fair amount to probably warrant a repost or something, but that'll have to wait until my eye is completely healed!
*NOTE: Get your eyes checked regularly*
@Burgandy
Yeah, it IS indeed a rare game, which is one reason I wanted it, and COME ON . . . it isn't THAT bad . . . <_< . . . >_> . . . I mean you get to play as like the GREATEST character ever . . . DR. ZOIDBERG!
@Redzie
I was trying to convey some sarcasm through text . . . it's hard to do . . . =(
I think Right now the PM Service is down. I tried both in Explorer & Firefox to send you a message but to no avail.
But cheers again. I'll be sending ya something then in a few days, look out for some new blogs I’ve got planed - & yes, we will get our figures! Topher’s word.
