I really enjoyed Faith's writing and kinda dug Nex's indie-esque skew on things. I do miss Ron's presence here a little, but his blog (sorry, I don't have an address) meets that craving just nicely.
End of the day, I like what's going on now alot, and I don't spend alot of time actively missing the vets.

Communities have even been known to completely die out if they don't attract new people to provide fresh content, replace those that leave, and generally keep the site dynamic and growing.
Sadly, my reason for deciding to blog on Destructoid is related to this. I'm very active in Playstation's Gamer Advisory Panel - which is a closed off, invite-only, Playstation site (I even used to be a moderator there). About a year ago, they stopped inviting new people... we rarely see the huge influxes that we did in the past when invites went out, and unfortunately the community is slowly dying - as people drift off and no one new is there to replace them. I still love GAP and the people in GAP - but my blogging over there is now going to be more social chit chat (rather than actual blogging) and I've moved my blogging to Destructoid now.
So while it's nice to miss people... be happy that there are D'toid n00bs like myself around to provide entertainment fodder with our naivete, pompous self-importance, bad blogs, good blogs, complaints, kudos and general lack of "who's who" around here as we stomp around stepping on toes and being generally annoying! :)
I've seen other people look around... and suddenly realize all their friends are gone, and they often end up as gone too - but I do hope you're not one of those people, because wherever you might end up, it will eventually be the same story.
... that's just life I guess.

Also, what happened to Wardrox? He still comes out in the Podcastle, but he doesn't post in the c-blogs anymore.
