Birthday hoo-bee what-eee?
Foe | 2:31 AM on 03.17.2008 5 comments

So, I came to the 2 year aniversastraviganza a bit late. I blame Smash Bro's and I'd love it if you did too.

When I finally plunked down in my computer chair this evening I was just blown away by all the awesome artwork and videos people put together for the 'Toid. Now, granted I'm not the MOST active community member( I did get second in that Darkness contest! Nintendo Fanboyling? remember? no... oh), I blame being lazy and I'd love it if you did too, but I do lurk around in the pixelated corners and peer out of the cracks between the crooked boards nailed to the windows. What my jaundiced eyes behold is a community that really feels and acts like a community and something like that can only really spring up around something that is as fun and worthwhile as this site is.

So I'd like to say thank you, to everyone who makes up the staff and the community. It's an amazing site and it can only go down from here...er up UP. God I'm bad at this. Look... here's a picture.

Cheers and thanks again.

Sonic CD. Whats the BFD?
Foe | 5:08 PM on 07.21.2007 5 comments

With a title that current and trendy, I don't see why I'm not already Destructoid's newest, most popular editor. So what if I have terrible grammar and spelling. I went to public school like everyone else didn't' I? That was a real question... I went to school right?

Regardless of my education, just look at that title! In all seriousness however, a producer at the company I work at recently gave me a Sega CD. I was elated because it was one of those things that even my mom could see was a piece of shit, thus I never was able to guilt her into getting me one.

First thing I did was pop in a copy of Jurassic Park I got off of E-bay. It didn't work, of course. So I got a back-up copy and set off on my fantastic dinosaur journey!

It's actually pretty fun, you get to learn about dinosaurs and solve puzzles. Occasionally you'll be called upon to shoot a dino with a tranq dart. This part kind of bumps me. The premise of the game assumes that your character KNOWS he's headed to Jurassic Park, POST disaster and death of Samuel L. Jackson's character (hold on to your butts)! So don't you think you would pack a little more heat? Raptors people! EFFING RAPTORS.

All that aside, there are plenty of cool little bits in this game that make it worth while. Like short clips of James Horner telling you facts about different dinos, a neat stereo soundtrack, and a real-time time limit. It's worth picking up if you're a collector or you happened upon it at the swap meet.

Oh.. wait, I've said nothing about Sonic CD. Um, well I played it and it was good, but not god's piss like everyone claims it is.

 about me

Hmmm about me. Well I live in San Jose and work as a game artist. Drawing for a living is one of those things that when there is a massive apocolypse and we are choosing who will lead our rag tag band of mercs into the irradated wastes, I won't be considered. But that's okay because I'll survive by selling hand drawn porn. So don't worry about me. I'll be fine.

Also I enjoy video games, but you already knew that because I'm here.
