I thought it was hilarious. And of course it's "inside joke" humor. The freaking title of the comic is "spolier alert"! Who, besides people on the internet, even use that term. Again, I found it funny.

I could see this doing well. I like the art and once you get you're writing together you'll be money.
Make it look less like Penny Arcade. (I hate PA SO much).
Find your own style, make their heads less square ect. As for the humor, well most arcs I've seen start without their main humor in-tact, I'm sure that will develop as you go, and of course some people will hate it, some people will love it, ect.

yeouch such harsh words. I enjoyed the latest comic the most. Enough to try out that last panel as my banner. If I like it I'll keep it around for a bit.
