Development?

Firstly, I'd just like to say hello and that's it's awesome to finally join the site. Been scouting it for quite some time and finally decided to join.

Hope to have a good time here and meet cool people.

Anyhow, I'm in the middle of a Visual Basic project for Computer Programing and our teacher assigned us a project to make a game of sorts.

I was going to try and make an adventure game of sorts, but I think that would of been a bit overcomplicated for a program I'm not to familiar with.

Yet.



So, being the unoriginal person I was at the moment, I decided to go with a checker game.

Everything in there besides the checker was made in Photoshop. Got the checker off of google images...hehehe...

Anyhow, I haven't gotten time to program much of it yet since our teacher is having us do exercises so that we don't go into it completely blind.

Understandable.

Also have some checker pieces and the board.



Now, I tried putting on of these custom made checkers on the menu, but they didn't fit with it too well, so I decided to go with a real checker piece.

Also got the checker board.



Bit boring at the moment. Trying to fix that.

Lastly I got the play button.



Well, again, I hope to have a good time here and update the development of this little project and maybe some of my own.

Also, the closest tag I had for this was indie since this is technical a Indie videogame...hehehe...

Noticed that the images for the Dtoid upload stretch them for some reason, so I went with another image uploader, hope that doesn't cause any trouble.

Also love the confirmation message for deleting an image, lol.
