well one doesn't exist to end all exclusives, though there should be, and second I'm too lazy to start one. I'm a petition signer not starter.
And if all games that are on the 360 were also on the PS3 and vice-versa, people would just buy the 360 'cause it's cheaper.

I see your point, exclusives do provide more options for gamers, but I don't think pushing specific hardware is a reason developers make good games. I may be wrong, I am in no way an industry expert.
But I concede your point. Exclusives have created a lot of competition that has been good for game development.
But nowadays with the price of games and consoles, exclusives really just hit your wallet...hard. Also, if there were no exclusives, developers would be forced into innovation rather than creating exclusve but very similar counterparts, like the examples you give. But meh, who knows.

Different situation completely. Besides, we KNOW that MGS4 will be on the 360 at one point or another due to some very hard facts.

No, not completely against it. I guess I'm a bit spoiled from the PS2.I knew almost any game I wanted would be on the PS2, save Halo and Fable. And I'm pretty damn cheap.

Anyway, I totally understand where you're coming from. Sony fucked up hard though and now the 360 is getting everything while the PS3 is taking forever for it to get something good. I finally got a "next-gen" system this year (when Halo 3 came out) but it was the logical choice between the two systems (the nice game library).
The next system I get will be the Wii only for Brawl. I don't give a shit about he rest of the games on that system :/
