For the past month I've been struggling with my PS3. This red like kept blinking every once in a while. I consulted a friend who has a 360 but is a genius. He said he had no idea whats going on. I looked online and some people said it does that when its over heated, or there's something in the disc reader. I investigated and found out my little son had shoved Kung Fu panda the game in the disc tray while madden 09 was still in there. O the irony of buying that stupid game. My thoughts went straight to college fund but he's only 3 and still playing the PS1. Just to fill you in I have been making him work his way up the video game systems. I made him start of playing mario on the snes and he did fairly well and now hes playing Spyro. Any ways I took it to Best Buy and i lost the warranty but they cut me a deal. I dont remember but I think it was 35 % off my purchase so I took it and re bought Madden 09 and picked up a copy of Bad Company. Which by the way is a fantastic game. Im thinking about getting a 360 also what are the good online games besides Halo and Call of Duty 4 ( which i can just get on the PS3 ) tell me your thoughts I will upload some pictures later of my Kids damage.......

360...becareful! But if you MUST get a game and don't have a PC, Orange Box (should be about $30 now).

Gears of War is the only 360 exclusive that you should check out, that and Dead Rising which is a mixed bag. BioShock (might as well wait for the PS3 version), and most of the other games are out on the PS3 so there is no point to get it for the 360.

Seriously, just look at the exclusives. If Fable 2, Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2 and...Too Human(?) is enough to make you buy the 360 do it. But if you don't want exclusives, the games are also on the PS3.

Also, ever since I got my 4th RRoD, I've been loving my PS3 hardcore like and it has been good back to me.

If you enjoy making sweet love to alien women, Mass Effect is the game for you.

I also recommend Skate. Even though this game is on both the 360 and PS3, the PS3 version suffers from some frame rate hiccups that bother me and make it irritating to skate.

Also, Castle Crashers is a good reason to have a 360, I second that notion.

I certainly don't criticize anyone for choosing a 360. There are a lot of good games and a robust (pay) online multiplayer community.

However, all the 360-exclusive games I've been interested in have also come out on PC. That's been my excuse for not buying one.

Except... DAMN YOU CASTLE CRASHERS!!!!

stick with your PS3 and use the money that you would have had to pay for the 360 and Live and save it for when your son breaks something else

You mean the PS3 can only hold one disc at a time? I play all my games with the Willow DVD inserted on top. Puts hair on my chest.

I like what you're doing with your son. Make sure he plays MGS1 and Okami. I don't know what's wrong with your PS3 though, I've never had any real problems.

You're better off getting a gaming PC than a 360 at this point.
