Hello, again. Ya know, lately I've been struggling to find good candidates for the Files, but I managed to find a few good ones from Castlevania Order of Ecclesia (which I beat a few days ago), so Enjoy. Also SPOILER WARNING!! Again, if that doesn't stop you from reading I can't help you. Read at your own risk, spoilerphobe.
Boss : Barlowe
Like I said before spoilers! Your probably wondering why Barlowe is going into the files, that reason being the fact he was a pain in my ass when I was fighting him. Back story time: Barlowe is the founder, leader, and "Spellmaster" of the Order of Ecclesia. He is the one who created the triad of Dominus Glyphs, and tasks you with hunting Albus and retrieving Dominus. After you do all of that ( and hopefully rescue all of the villagers), you go abck to Ecclesia headquarters, and surprise surprise, he turns out to be working to resurrect Dracula and wants you dead to gain Dominus. As the aforementioned "spellmaster", he has several magic attacks and a devastating Captain Falcon inspired dashing punches ( seriously, what's with these human boss characters and having Smash bros inspired attacks, WTF!). The spells include Holy Truth, which comprises of him throwing his spell books, which forms an electric cage around him and he zooms across the stage, a spell that turns the books into tracking fireballs, a spell that when he lands for a few seconds, drops a book that freezes you solid, and if you get caught in the ice, he'll electrocute you. He'll also use the Globus glyph, which is a ricocheting energy attack, as with Acerbatus it can be absorbed and used later. It also leads to Dracula's Castle being called from the darkness after he offers himself as a sacrifice. Also here's the battle theme if your interested.
Boss :Death Picture not available
For veterans or anyone in general who's played a Castlevania game can tell you that Death ( along with the Lord of Evil himself) is always in the series as a one of the last two bosses. When I fought Death, I lost, a lot. He uses sickles, assorted dark spells, and his scythe. One attack that definitely caught me off gaurd was the circle slash and the circling energy attack thing, as well as the concentrated sickle blast. The thing that threw me off about it was the fact that Death almost never used his scythe for our battle, apparently he didn't think Shanoa was worth slicing up like bits of meat. When Defeated, you gain the SInestro Custos glyph for your troubles.
Final Boss: Dracula
Ah, Dracula. You have caused this rookie vampire killer way too much trouble over the last two weeks. The final boss of Order of Ecclesia ( and every Castlevania game in the history of the series... okay most of them), I nearly chucked my DS across the room. Yeah, he was that hard. After the somewhat weird conversation, you start the fight. His attacks include shooting a barrage of fire balls, Dark Inferno and Fatal Ray as the first phase. What surpised me was the fact that the named attacks were what 2 of the 3 Dominus glyphs were based off of. After that was the second (and most rage-inducing) part of the fight. After saying the "time for games is over", he'll use a tracking variant of Fatal Ray called Destruction Ray, call upon wolves and THOSE FUCKING BATS!!! (Sorry, that's the rage talking), and the very irritating Soul Steal which steals 240 HP. As with Death, I had the feeling he wasn't taking the fight seriously. The thing the tipped me was the fact that he didn't resort to transforming into that giant monster thing he usually does when fighting a Belmont. After Using Dominus on him you beat the Game. Also, here's the boss theme if you like. Would you kindly listen to it.
That's it for this very "first themed" entry of The Boss Files. I pretty much finished Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, and I have a question: What DS Game Should I Get Next ? Check back next weekend for another look at the most intimidating bosses this side of gaming.
P.S Thank You for allowing me to waste your time.
I can't recall if there were any Castlevania games that didn't have awesome music. Maybe Dawn of Sorrow just because I thought it was a pretty weird game, and it was the first game that introduced me to Metroidvanias. Crazy, eh?
Anyway, Barlowe was pretty unintentionally hilsrious because whenever he does his Captain Falcon punches, he mocks you and calls you a stupid disciple. I dunno, just something that I have always found amusing.
Death, not much to say about him, except his character design is pretty dang awesome. Also, Dracula, you know what was the really terrifying thing about him? He had a walking animation. He could run up to you and kick you in your face. It threw me off my game because it was the last thing I was expecting. Seriously, a [b]walking/[b] Dracula? It's crazy.
Also, nothing about Brachyura, that one spider/crab fusion dude who chases you up that one tower? The way you kill him alone deserves a mention, not to mention awesome to boot.
@ Magnalon no problem, and the main reason why I say that is because its my trademark like Zorro's Z or Spider-Man's clever notes after he busts the bad guys
@ Mr.Kite tbh I've had my eyes on TWEWY for a while. It also has a lot of good candidates for the Boss Files, so thanks for the suggestion

I honestly have no idea why I don't own this game; great post, and it wasn't a waste of time btw.
Thanks for the new background idea!

Another good read there, Mr. Reaper.
I'll invlude it in the Next files just for you buddy.
I say you should do The World Ends with You, awesome game not exactly your typical JRPG.
