About Me

I'm T. J.! I'm a college student, 21, going to UT Tyler for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and at Tyler Junior College I am going for a Associate's Degree in Game Design and Simulation. Guess which college is more fun? XD

My favorite games are old games. I love Arcade games, NES games, and SNES games. I feel many old games are better than many new games. I find it impressive how old games from even the likes such as the Atari 2600 can be just as fun as games coming out today-- technology does not have a lot to do with gameplay, does it now?

I program quite a bit in my spare time, and in class. I'm working on programming games in Allegro C++, and hope to someday either start a company that creates games or work somewhere designing games. I'd love to work for Valve. I'm more interested in the game design aspect of creating games, but I am learning how to program in order to get my foot in the door of the industry someday.

Hey guys! I do a bit of programming on the side, and was wanting to show you my current project's website. The website will keep anyone who is interested updated on the platforming game I'm working on. The game will be a mix of Contra, Metal Slug, Super Metroid, Super Mario Land 2, and some RPG elements. It will be four player cooperative. I expect the game to take a year or so to finish, but who knows.
