Who knew Square Enix had such a dirty mind?
I've been playing a lot of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker for the last week and I discover a weird glitch in the monster naming system in the game. See the whole point of the game is to capture monsters to battle for you on a team, much like Pokemon times three.
When you scout your monster and they decide to join your team, you have to give your monster a name. Seems easy enough, right? Well, not really ... when I tried to name one of my monsters, I got a message telling me that I couldn't use that name.
My monster was a creature called Lips and I tried to call him or her, Smack like Lip Smack and the game wouldn't allow me to use it. Not because of letter amount restrictions or anything like that, it just wouldn't let me use it.
Later on there was another name I tried to use and got the same message again, but I don't remember what the name was. I do know that it wasn't a swear word or dirty in any way.
I figure this name restriction has to do with the Wi-Fi battle system and Nintendo is trying to keep dirty named monsters from appearing on some ten-year-old's DS, but I think they went a little overboard with some of the name restrictions.
I've tried other dirty sounding names like Banger for a HammerHood, but so far no other names have been banned from use.
Anyone with the game try using some dirty names too and let see what weird names are banned.
i dunno sounds stupid.
i was thinking of getting this game, is it worth it?
