I'll just start by saying I am the worst secret keeper in the world but amazingly I managed to keep one secret of more than 2 months from the entire Destructoid community and one special member of the staff.

A while back I was asked by community member, Maya aka Bushofghosts to create a custom sprite of Hamza's alter ego, CyberneticTigerZ out of perhaps a Metroid sprite for a special PAX gift. After looking at pictures of the Shark suit, I realized that it was just a modded version of Master Chief's armor and decided to mod a Master Chief sprite instead of a Metroid one.

I started with this:

which was less blurry when I zoomed in on it.

Used these pictures for references to the Shark suit.

And in the end, came up with this:


If I had to do the piece over again, I would have added in a fin on the back and fixed the glove on the right as I didn't match the colours up to the other glove when I was playing with the colour scheme. Otherwise I am happy with it.

Of course, I forgot to take a picture of it after I ironed it but hopefully Hamza will do that for me. *big grins*

Yes, I troll facebook quite often looking for those beautiful moments caused by my bead sprites. This looks like a truly epic one.

So there you go. That's what Hamza looks like as a videogame character. I hope he liked it. I was told people were late to dinner because he did, so I figure that's good. Choosing my work over food.
