Halo 3, the game to love and hate

Ok, here's where my fairy tale begins:

I am a big Halo fan. Everyone should know that from my name on Destructoid. I get out of class at 3 o clock p.m. excited for the launch for Halo 3. I go with my friend to the city where I reserved my copy and wait for 3 hours in line with other Halo fanatics. At 12:01 p.m. I finally get my copy of Halo 3. The wait was finally over.
About an hour after I got back to my dorm at college, I open up the game case. It's really pretty and I was careful with it. I pop in the game disk and I could have sworn God was bitch slapping me in the face.
It read this:
Xbox360 can not recognize this CD or DVD.
*Update (from ten minutes ago)
Ok, well now it seems to be working. The cd is still apparent physically to have problems on the disc surface.
It works for now, but for how long.....
Hopefully forever....
My best advice for all the Halo fanatics: Check your game disc first before you pop it in the 360. Don't get screwed over by me, even though it was temporary.

Ninja Gaiden 2 X360 Impressions

Up on top is footage of Ninja Gaiden 2 for the 360 shown at the Tokyo Game Show. Presuming people know or heard of Ninja Gaiden, the sequel does look good, but as others said, what's stopping it from becoming a Sigma clone? Sigma offered the same things Black and the first Ninja Gaiden on Xbox had, but with some added features, updated graphics and other things. It was ok though, Sony owners wanted a taste of the sweet Team Ninja pie. Or cake, whichever you prefer.

First impressions:
Well, this is one game I've been wanting to hear about ever since I gave up on the first one. It was ridiculously hard, but it was an awesome game. Beating the game alone gives you something to boast about, because the game itself was made by Team Ninja who at the time thought "let's make Ninja Gaiden the hardest game ever! HAHAHAHAHAH!" *Sarcasm, but seriously, it's a great game.

From the footage I've watched of Ninja Gaiden 2, things are shaping up well. I am a bit skeptical whether I'll add this to my collection of games, but I will at least try it out. The graphics look updated(of course) the combat system looks tweaked and the camera doesn't want my mind to explode anymore, which is a definite plus in my book. The final word is that Ninja Gaiden 2 will continue the greatness that it's predecessor left off on the first one. Regardless of how freaking mind blowlingly hard it was.

P.S. I speak noobian here, but how might you embed youtube videos? I tried embedding a Ninja Gaiden 2 gameplay movie, but it didn't show up. So I just coded a picture.

about me

I've been playing video games since I was 5. I started off on the Nintendo(but my dad smashed it due to the fact my brother and I played it excessively). I also, at this time, was introduced to many other golden gems on the PC such as Command and Conquer, Dune, Commander Keen, and Doom. I later was treated to the Super Nintendo(one of the greats by the way) and then a 64(Pokemon Stadium FTW!) and then I gradually made my way up to an Xbox. Funny thing is I almost ALMOST got a PS2, but my uncle recommended to me to the Xbox. A great decision, although I wouldn't mind the Megaman games on the 360....

And maybe many more. Bottom line is, I'm all for having fun with video games. Whether they're arcade, DDR, Guitar Hero, Halo, Counterstrike, whatever, I don't normally play for competition. The only acception is if I run into some stupid people on the net that are antagonizing me, then I try to step up my game to be in pwnage mode. haha j/k but seriously I try to be competitive to when I need to be.
That's about it.

Also Olivia Munn=Mind-Blowlingly-Incredible. End of story.

Anything else, just ask I guess. Occasionally, I'll do game reviews or extract interesting bits of information on the interwebs and post them for people to know.
