Look, I drink.

And I think to myself, there are plenty of others here on D-Toid that do the same. I thought, wouldn't it be nice to share some sophisticated drink recipes with fellow adults? Thanks to Lucashoal commenting that he wants a fruity drink to help represent the Fruity Furry D-Toid Community (Neonie is the most prevalent, followed by Lucashoal, Monkeycat, and Kelfonne). Tonight's is one i've never tried, but sounds pretty damn good, though all the grenadine makes it an automatic girly drink.

Neonie's Furry Purple Squirrel



After half a dozen of these, you might actually consider that offer from the sexy squirrel above. Neonie and a few others seem to catch constant crap from us on Destructoid, and I for one would like to thank them for being the community punching bag. My way of giving them thanks and a slight elbow to the ribs at the same time is to dedicate a drink to the Furries of this web community.

The basic recipe is:

1 Oz. Light Rum
1 Oz. Coconut Rum
1 Oz. Blue Curacao Liqueur
1 Oz. Grenadine Syrup
1 Oz. Lime Juice
1 Oz. Club Soda
1 Splash Coconut Rum

Start with a coctail mixer that is half filled with ice cubes, pour in the light and coconut rums, then the blue curacao, next add the grenadine and lime juice. Shake well, then strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. To finish, add the club soda and stir, then add the last splash of coconut rum. To garnish, get a wedge of lime and push an almond into the flesh of the fruit and toss it into the glass.

The drink should look something like this when finished.



There you have it, A Furry Purple Squirrel! Drink with caution people, 'cause this drink is a whopping 15% alcohol. Whoo!!! Girly Drinks!!!
