I'm Jarod from around DC and I recently graduated George Mason University with BS in IT. I grew up on Nintendo systems and PCs so I tend to be a Nintendophile, but I don't see myself as a die hard fanboy. I've owned every Nintendo system since the SNES (I've played a fair share of NES at friend's houses an such as well) except the Virtual Boy and the Gameboy Advanced SP. My current systems include a Wii, PS3, and PC. I won my PS3 in a contest for a certain video game blog. Now I just have to decide whether or not I want a 360. The only genre of games I don't really play a lot of is sports, with a few exceptions, but my favorite genre is RPGs. I also like to play a lot of retro games and MUDs. I hate making "favorite [instert item here]" lists so I'm gonna skip that part. Things I like besides games include lacrosse, water skiing, playing around in Flash and Photoshop, camping, and reading web comics.
Another Music and Games Festival has come and gone, and here I am trying to piece together what exactly happened to me during those four crazy days. Kick ass concerts, arcade cabinets, a room full of every console imaginable, panels covering everything from voice acting to game development to cosplay, room parties, and general craziness are just some of the things that come to mind. Despite carrying a camera with me the whole time, I only have few videos to show for it. Hopefully these videos will give you a taste of one of my favorite bands that played at MAGFest, Select Start. Please excuse the quality.
Also, any help identifying the songs is appreciated. They all sound familiar, but I donít know any of their titles.
