Someone stop me if this is old or something. Just posted on Kotaku is a story (link below) that contains information on the PS3's Home and it's intergration with some of Sony's titles. Resistance: Fall of Man and it's sequel will have some sort of integration, but what really has me excited is what they're doing with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
Apparently there will be some sort of 2D side-scrolling shooter tied to the Uncharted Home portal. It will be based on Uncharted of course, and will feature "tons of enemies and exploding barrels" and other shit like that. In addition to this, you will be able to walk your Home avatar through Uncharted's gorgeous levels, without worrying about a bullet being planted in your ass!!!
While the thought of being able to walk freely through Uncharted's environments is certainly intriguing, I'm really excited about this 2D side scrolling shooter! No word on who is developing it so far, but I hope that somebody from Naughty Dog is involved, otherwise this could be made of fail in the end.
What say you? Does this interest you? Would you want to play this game?
I know the answer to both questions for me is a resounding YES.

Nice I just picked up Warhawk and Uncharted some I'm pretty stoked right now.
You know, I once owned all three. Well, I had two and traded them in. Warhawk and Resistance both went towards the purchase of much better games on different systems.
But I'd sell my soul before I trade in Uncharted. It's one of my favorites of all time.

This could be very awesome, but I do wonder how they'll integrate Uncharted's gameplay to 2D.

My god this is awesome. I like the warhawk integration better though, WNW's will be so much more fun now. But you'll never know.
