About Me

Hey guys, it's Dan or as everyone here knows me (including you, because you're looking at my blog), EternalDeathSlayer. Yeah, I jacked it from Grandma's Boy, eat me. Anyway, I love video games, but more importantly I also love to talk about video games, hence why I am here on Destructoid with you. I've got a wonderful little family of 2 kids and a wife and we all play games in some shape or form. My wife enjoys WoW (probably a bit too much) and playing Halo with either myself or her friends. My kids like kid stuff like Kinectimals or flash games on the PC. And me? I like almost everything. So long as a game is fun or has the ability to effect my feelings or emotions, I'm game.

I play them all, but truthfully it's not in an "All Consoles are Equal" sort of way. I prefer the 360, mainly because I know more people who own one, but I do play my PS3 whenever a worthy exclusive is released. The exclusives make the purchase worth it. As for the Wii, well, it gets ignored most of the time. But I pull it out from time to time, usually when a big Nintendo game is released for it.

Sorry if this has been posted, didn't see it anywhere. Anyway...... If any of you use GameTap, this might be good news to hear. According to the bitchez at Joystiq, Street Fighter III: Third Strike will be hitting the gaming service on December 20th. This is one of the best 2D fighting games ever made and it's inclusion on GameTap is really making me want to join up, as I've yet to do so. The best part of it all is that they have snagged the Dreamcast version of the game, so we can be sure things will flow smoothly. Also, the article states that the game will support a number of different speciality fighting stick controllers, so check the link to see which ones if you're into this sort of thing. Unfortunately no online play, as the DC version didn't have it. This is just in time really. It's gonna go a long way towards washing the taste out of my mouth after seeing the pics of Street Fighter IV. Meh. Ok, that's not right, we should give the game a chance and play it. We really should. Capcom has been Win as hell so far this generation, I'm expecting them to keep the ball rolling with SF4. But anyway, get on GameTap on the 20th and play this fucker if you haven't already! You won't regret it. Source: Joystiq(Is FAIL)
