First on the agenda is this Wii mod here. As you may have guessed from the title, this is a
View Askew themed Wii. Why would someone create such a strange Wii mod? Because Kevin Smith himself commissioned it. Apparently he was a huge fan of the modder, some guy named Ramon who's work I've seen before. He was the creator of this wonderful
Metroid Wii Mod:
Ramon was also responsible for a wonderful
Zelda mod and a pretty cool although kind of pointless
Rockstar Games mod. Personally I'd still be happy to own any of them, but this one just doesn't do it for me:
A
Clerks Wii mod. While I enjoyed watching that particular movie, I certainly wouldn't want a Wii designed with it mind in my home. Then again, I'm not Kevin Smith. Still, I can't deny the skill and craft that went into making the damn thing. It's very well done and also very professional looking, as all of his mods are. This one's cool for Kevin Smith and I'm sure countless fans of his, but not for me.

Next up, it's time to celebrate! The DS has officially beaten the PS2 in overall sales, and it took 4 and a half years less time to do it! Yay!
Really, it doesn't matter and I could care less, but I figured I'd share the news with those who weren't aware of it. Everybody saw this coming anyway, as those Japanese people can't seem to get enough of quirky retreads of older more original quirky games. They love the DS over there! It prints money!
Gotta love that picture, it never gets old to me. But anyway, DS sales have shown no sign of slowing down in either Japan or America, or Europe for that matter. It's amazing what a phenomenon it's become, seeing popularity all over the world wherever there are people to buy it. It's easily defeated the PSP in sales and even with the recent surge in sales for Sony's portable it has no chance of being overtaken anytime soon. So it's safe to say it's probably on it's way to best selling console ever status.
Keep pumping out those quirky games that rape older and better quirky games for ideas. We'll keep lapping them up anyway, wont we?
BTW, this entire section about DS sales was all an excuse to use that picture in my blog.
