I downloaded it from Fileplanet last week or 2 ago and only took me about 3 hours. Planning ahead FTW...
Lurf, I didn't get my key until Saturday night since it's a review copy.
how in the hell does a torrent of a somewhat closed beta take 30 hours?
i'd think an hour would be the max torrenting time.
I got my beta from Target and it was supposed to start yesterday and I never got an email to verify the account I created. Soooo, I can't play it. :(
I was in the preview weekend and have yet to start it up again except to update it on the 7th. No problems for me.
Your internet connection = fail
You should be somewhat lucky you were able to download it, my friend is in line waiting to download for 800 hours...that's not downloading, but waiting in line to download it. I agree, total failure on their end.
Considering this is mythic's first launch of an mmo since '01, i'd say they're doing very well for themselves (times change). DAoC was very smooth starting off, considering the time. Despite me not liking warhammer itself, I have to admit, the game launch and download system is very solid.
let's show up late for the movie and see if we can get good seats/tickets.
Planning ahead FTW (and sharing my fileplanet account with my friends).
It took me an hour and a half to download the beta.
Your incompetency =/= Warhammer Beta
You fail = You fail
