Nes NOT emulation site
Elitechief27 | 9:10 PM on 02.05.2008 19 comments

After listening to the "not" conversation on yesterday's Retroforce Go!, it reminded me of this one site that has a bunch of NES games that are able to play without the hassle of not modding consoles and downloading not ROM software the site is

http://www.nintendo8.com/

Recently I have been playing the ever living daylights out of SMB3 for the first time. I know that I do not do it justice by playing it with a keyboard, but it's fun none the less. Also if you thought contra was hard with a controller, the keyboard doesn't make it aany easier. Though I have said all of this, it is still a fun way to relive the glorydays of the NES. Give it a looksee if you're craving easy to get retro.

Thanks for stealing dude.

The original emulation site is still the best. Note how it says "loading vNES"? That's because the emulator was written by the man here.

So there. Besides, VirtualNES is much better to navigate.

ok, i take it back. That's a cool sight, can't find a lot of those games. Plus, it's browser based. I feel a bit better about it now.

if you have a 360 (or ps3 im guessing) controller then plug that into your pc, dl the drivers and youve got a full functional game pad. i emulate n64 and snes games on my pc, most of the time they look better thanks to antialiasing and high resolutions (when they work ofcoarse) im not robbing nintendo because i owned both of those systems. as for smb3, you should dl sm allstars, the snes version is the same game, just better graphics

i did read the post, there are plenty of emulation sites around, i was just saying if you have a controller use that instead and super mario 3 is better on the snes. i also listened to retro force. i have a feeling your retarded reaprar

Gamepads won't work for the site he mentioned, unless you've got a joypad/keyboard emulator or something. So you probably didn't read the post very well.

you could actually play with a controller, just bind your keys to z,x,ctrl, enter and the arrow keys. didn't try it, but playing rygar hurt my wrist

 about me

Hey everybody. Since you are reading my sidebar, you are probably wondering who the Jesus TEETEE tap dancing Christ I am. Well, let's get started in devouring who I really am.

I am a guy, so don't worry, I have come to expect some trolling on my blog. I started reading Destructoid either around the time of the Bonus Round Blogosphere(should be Blogocube) episode, or when Sterling was trashing Tay Zonday about something. I lurked for a while, started looking around the front page and C-Blogs, and started to know the in's and outs of D-Toid. As you see on my friends list, pretty much everyone of those people helped lure me into this wild and crazy site. The thing that pushed me over that edge though was Retroforce GO!'s first comment episode. I had been an avid listener before joining, so when the time came that I could ask the retro gods anthying I want, I had to strike at that opportunity. A few episodes ,had padded and I still hadn't been brought up on the show, so I knew I had to do something special, something spectacular, something Japanese. It was then that I started the Haiku.

The Haiku was formed in the land of Mordor in the fires of Mount Doom and........wait no, that's the One Ring. I always get them confused. Anyway the Haiku was a success and took off from episode 40: The Hype episode, which i won and still haven't gotten around to E-Mailing Dyson about and probably never will . Some of you ignorant fornicators might be wondering what a Haiku is.It is a japanese poem and follows a 5-7-5 syllable scheme.
