OMG: The Last Story is out in Europe soon!

Get all those other stories out of the way, 'cause here comes the last one! Yup, Mistwalker's "The Last Story" is landing in Europe (and Australia) soon. I became aware of that fact today, and thought I should spread the word. February 24 for Europe and February 23 for Australia!

In related news, I noticed that they've changed the names of the game's characters for the English version. THANK GOD, because some of the original names were horrible. What kind of name is "Quark"? Good thing they changed Quark's name to Dagran. And Elza, the protagonist, had his name changed to Zael. A name which simultaneously reminds me of that cool elf mage guy from Warcraft 3, the word "zeal", and a particular brand of soap.

Err, anyway. I'm excited! Are you excited? Pre-order this game! It's got Nobuo Uematsu music in it! You guys like him right?

The only thing I disagree with here is the fact that it's stupid as hell to change character names just for localization purposes. Especially "Elza" and "Zael" -- They just switched the letters around. I see no point in doing so, seeing as how this game was popular enough that a lot of people already know the Japanese names.

Despite that, I already have the limited edition preordered and ready for import. :-P
