The other day while looking for a food scale in Walmart and having no idea where to look, me and my g/f stumbled upon a 2nd demo station set-up in the Christmas section of the store. There was a Wii running Super Mario Galaxy (fun fun fun!), a 360 running Scene It with the buzzer controllers (yawn) and a PS3 running Rock Band!

The demo unit has the guitar and drum set set up (sans kick peddle). Since I was there with my girlfriend, she didn't want to stand around and watch me rock out forever, so I played Weezer's "Say it ain't so" on drums and we left. It was so much fun that the next day after dropping my g/f off at work I went and picked my brother to surprise him with the awesomeness of Rock Band.

We played a bunch of songs on co-op switching between drums and guitar. Like I said before, the drums were a lot of fun, but the guitar... not so much. I don't know if it's just the demo unit's guitar or what, but every time I hit the strum bar, it'd hit it more than once. I got about 70% on EASY. Now, I'm no fag, but I got most of the way through hard on GHII, so I do know how to lay down a G, R+Y, >G, B, G, Y+B or two. I hope this isn't indicative of the final guitar for the game...

This experience turned me from someone who was mildly interested in this game, to someone who must own this game. I know I won't be getting it at launch, but I'll be saving up my money.
