Well, today's a pretty slow day on the D'toid... and tomorrow should be pretty slow too. Thank goodness you've got the "X days until Smash!" article to read!
After all the third party shenanigans over the weekend, I've decided to go with a 1st party character today. Even though this is a 1st party character, this character's chance of being included in Super Smash Bros. Brawl seems limited. Why? Because they are a tag team!
They're the terrible twosome of the twilight princess! Well, maybe not-so-terrible, being good natured and all... but they are certainly fierce!
Moveset
B: Landscape Toss - Midna teleports in a piece of the landscape from the Twilight Realm and uses it as a weapon! She'll toss the piece in whatever direction she's facing. The longer you hold B, the bigger the piece of landscape is. Also, the bigger the piece of landscape is, the harder it is to throw, so don't charge it up too much if you want to hit someone from across the screen. This attack, when fully charged, can do a maximum of 50% damage! Ouch, a crushing blow. When it's that big, it'll just fall though, so get out of the way!
< or > + B:
Lunge & Tear - Link shows his most fearsome side with this attack. He'll lunge in the direction pressed with a brutal bite. If he connects with an opponent, he'll really tear into them. This attack does a maximum of 10% damage.
^ + B:
Teleport - Midna, do your magic! With this move, Midna uses her twili magic to teleport straight up. This move does no damage, but make sure to use it to recover if you're ever in trouble.
v + B:
Dig a Hole - Wolf Link digs into the ground to look for something nice! This attack also does no damage, but it can be very useful. Link has a maximum of a 54% chance of digging up a food item, an 18% chance of digging up coins, a 10% chance of digging up either a pitfall or a bob-omb, a 3% chance of digging up a heart container, and a minimum of a 5% chance of digging up nothing at all!
Final Smash:
Wolf Fury - This move is similar to the move that Link and Midna would use to take out the twili creatures. Midna envelopes the area surrounding the pair in shadows. Next, Link leaps out at the closest enemy to him (Within the shadows) and deals 30% damage. He then leaps to the next opponent, and the next. Try to get all 3 opponents in one fell swoop!
Wolf Link and Midna's stage:
This stage was inspired by a certain segment of the twilight realm and is certainly unique in the world of Smash!
Sorry about the shitty image. I could not find a picture of the swamp level anywhere!
This level consists mainly of pillars. Wolf Link can travel comfortably between them by using his Lunge & Tear special move, but less fleet footed opponents may have trouble staying on solid ground. Wolf Link & Midna's moves can really help them take the win in this level.
Hazards:
The stage consists of high, thin pillars... That's all the hazard one level needs!
Wolf Link & Midna (though technically two characters) function as one character. When you hit one, you hit both. They're really just one character with two different parts!
The fact that Wolf Link & Midna are a 1st party character gives us a better shot at seeing them in the game. Also, two versions of Link isn't too big a stretch, since in Melee we had Link and Young Link. Here's to hoping!
Come back tomorrow for more rampant, unfounded speculation as I count down the days until the US release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
neat
the level seems a little much though.
LIES! :P
Just kidding, Im enjoying these blogs. I would love if there were this many characters in Brawl
Thanks for your constructive message.
By the way... good smash bros. idea
Thanks to all who enjoyed the post. There should be a PS up there in the article... MERRY CHRISTMAS!
