Lock your doors, turn off your lights, and hide under your bed... the dark king of thieves is back in town! He's a brutal, strong, barbaric beast of a man with no heart to be found. Well, maybe it's there, but it's definitely more than three sizes too small! Today's character is:
Ganondorf!
B: Magic Blast - Ganondorf unleashes a blast of dark energy. This magical blast will do a maximum of 17% dark damage. This move has a secret weakness though: If your opponent hits this blast at just the right time, it'll come back at you!
< or >B: Sword Toss - Ganondorf tosses his like a helicopter, and chasing after it. If this move hits, it'll deal a maximum of 10% damage, and it'll get you that much closer to your opponent.
^B: Puppet Ganon - Ganondorf disappears and is replaced by a puppet of himself, which raises up some on it's strings. This move does no damage, but it does prevent Ganondorf from being damaged and allows him to recover.
vB: Circle of Bats - Ganondorf swings his sword around his head, summoning a circle of fiery bats. These bats will protect Ganondorf from harm, and if they hit an opponent they'll deal a maximum of 8% fire and dark damage. What a fearsome defensive move!
Final Smash: Ganon - Ganondorf's true form is revealed! Ganondorf transforms into his boarish alter ego, Ganon. During this final smash, you'll constantly be running, and you'll be invisible. If you come in contact with an opponent, you'll hit them for a whopping 50% damage! This smash transformation only lasts for 10 seconds, so make it worth your while.
Ganondorf's Stage:
This stage is based on the pyramid from the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The top platform is the top level of the pyramid, with torches at either end. The bottom platform is where you'd fall if you fell during your fight with Ganon, and it's got a shallow pool of water. This water will slow down anyone in it, so try to stay on top.
Hazards:
This level is about as big as the hyrule temple stage, so it's pretty big! Try not to lose yourself in the stage! The fire from the torches on the top part of the stage will deal 5% fire damage. Also, the water on the bottom part of the stage is slippery, so be careful not to run off!
Ganondorf, he's an old smashing favorite. His chances of being in Super Smash Bros. Brawl are pretty much 100%, as we've already heard that his character design has been done by the original character designer. Since there won't be any clones in the game, he'll have to get a complete move set make over, and I'm very interested in seeing how that will play out. As far as his final smash goes... I
really can't see it being anything except for the one above. I've been waiting to fight as Ganon the dark beast ever since I heard Ganondorf was in Melee!
Come back tomorrow for more rampant, unfounded speculation as I count down the days until the US release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
As always, if you've missed any of the old updates due to the holiday season (or just want to go back and read or discuss about your favorite predictions) then just go here. I'll keep the links current, so you can bookmark the page and check back later for any updates.
I really love your banner.
my only thing with the ganondorf move set is that the bat summon might be too spammy, but could work with the right balancing issues.
Receding hairline chubbydorf will be awesome. I'm definitely looking forward to him being in Brawl, which he inevitably will.
Also, here's a link to the deviant art page of the guy who did your banner pic. He updates with each character reveal so Olimar is in there now.
Arrr those titles are so misleading, though it was Batman for Sho'.
New Olimar Pic FTW!
Plus the stage design is boss. I'd love to see that.
And I think you meant invincible, not invisible. What good is a giant pig attack mode if you can't see it?
Ganondorf was my favorite in SSB Melee. I <3 TEH GANONDORF!
I heard that Nintendo decided not to release Brawl in Europe Jim... maybe you can buy one of Tron's copies. :P
