Hi! I'm pretty much only a gamer. I mean, I work when I have to, but beyond that it's all games all the time. I hate TV because I hate commercials, but sometimes I'll record things on my DVR for down time consumption. Also, I do go out to see movies when they look appealing, but really that is all.
I've had every system I could get my hands on since I first played Super Mario Brothers on the NES, and currently I have a Wii, PS2, and 360 hooked up to my TV. My all time top 5 favorite games: LoZ: Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, SMB 3, Castlevania: SotN.
I don't really have a specific favorite genre... I like them all. It's easier to just list the genres I don't like. Simulation sports games (Madden, Tiger Woods, 2K, etc.) are no fun at all in my opinion. Next, I'd say that casual gaming (though I love Nintendo) seems to be getting on my nerves lately... I mean seriously, Sudoku video games and Eye Training... wtf?!. Finally most FPS (withfewexceptions) games bore me.
I wanted to join this community because the front page posts are fantastic, and I've just started to read the clogs, and have found some wonderment in there as well. My favorite thing about the site is it's overall sense of humor. Joystiq, Kotaku, and all those other gaming sites just don't have the awesome X factor that D'toid has. Long live Destructoid.com!
