Like that image? It took me 10 MINUTES to make that in Microsoft Paint, so you better fucking like it. I put my sweat and blood into it.
Now, let's talk about this.. I was playing Star Ocean IV today. I rented it the other day when I realized how tired I was growing of all the games in my collection, mainly shooters. I knew only a hardcore RPG that I could grind hours and hours into would know how I needed to be touched. I was on Disc 2, slowly approaching Disc 3. I had been playing for.. damn who knows how long. I should have remembered that such extensive play would result in damage to the disc. I shouldnt have tried to fight off the Phantoms on my return to Aeos. Those god damn things never died unless I spammed rush mode and constantly used Blindside, which was VERY hard to do considering they shot huge ass bullets every two seconds and there were always more than two on me at once. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, in fact I probably am. I've been utterly ignoring the Item Creation and Sythesizing since I started the game, simply because I think Welch is an ugly twat. I've also have barley been using my bombs and food. Anyways, I was on my fourth try, with hope in my heart that I can finally beat them. That's when it happened, my console coughed and wheezed when I entered the battle, and my disc was spit out faster then a watermelon seed being chewed by my annoying brother who likes to launch them onto my plate like disgusting little bullets.
What the fuck do I do now?
Star Ocean IV is arguably a good game. The combat is addicting and fun, but the story is cliche, the characters are unbearable, the field camera is shit, and the character models act all robotic and most of them are horribly ugly, like that twat Welch. But that's just it, the combat. I just cant put the fucking controller down, I love it, it's my drug. I sit through Faize's cliche he's-obviously-going-to-turn-evil cutscenes, I tolerated Lym's horrible forced cuteness(kay?), and I even put Meracle in my party for a while. (But then her bad voice acting damaged my ears so that was over pretty soon.) It was all so I could keep battling. I have to admit, there are way too many tedious random battles, but it's none the less fun. Now my disc is scratched and I'm going through Star Ocean withdrawl. FFFFFuck. I'm a pansy ass so I'm going to imagine the worst; Since the game is a rental and I scratched it, I'll have to pay an extra fee. That probably wont happen but I worry and whine about everything so I'm assuming it anyways.
So now what? I can post a blog about me ranting about this game, that nobody will want to read, or I can try and fix it. I like the former...
-At least you Didn't get the same disc twice. I'd refer but then I'd have to go look for the post.
I'm actually playing SO3 at the moment. Even though I don't need too, I want to finish it before I get Ocean IV. Plus IV would be cheaper now.
Hope you get it fixed :( It awesome game.
Wow, no comments on my header image? I thought it was ridiculous enough to spark a troll...
Also, I'M LYM I'M FUCKING CUTE KAY? KAY? I want to murder her
BTW, Athiestium, did you ever finish The Last Remnant? I remember your post about restarting it.
I played this shit for many hours too, until I got stuck on Disc 3. It pissed me off and I left it alone for almost a month. Sucks about the scratch.
Kay? FYI, she says KAY all the freakin' time because she says that same thing in Japanese -- too bad it just tends to sound more annoying in English hur.
