Things I wish my ps3 could do, rather than HOME
Dudemullet | 2:48 AM on 12.12.2008 7 comments

I know everyone's gonna have their focus on HOME right now, and why shouldn't they? I mean its a neat service, and I could easily trade wasting time on HOME than on some stupid unbeatable flash based tower defense game. But thats not the point, the point is I still think my ps3 is a beast of a machine, though the people in charge of its direction have their heads up their asses.

When did we ever *ask* for home ? internet browser ? better speeds than IE 7? NEVER!!! thats when. And don't get me wrong these are all good things to have, but it feels like someone wanting to go get a sandwich while his house is on fire . TRUST ME, wait on the fucking sandwich, you have other things to attend to.

So while I still love my ps<3 here are a few things why I can only guess Japanese IT professional, might be drinking from one fucked up kool-aid.

I'm not going to mention the ability to charge controllers while the system is in standby just because MAYBE from a money making point of view, it makes sense to these assholes

+Cache the backgrounds and music
Seriously, wtf ? I hate thinking I have a *cutting edge* device which thinks installed games, or READ-ONLY fucking blu ray discs are all of a sudden gonna change their background pics or music

+Hotkeys
Please put so much buttons to good use! While in the XMB it would be nice to be able to map something like R2 or L2 some of my most used functions like logging a user out, or opening the playstation store.

+Open things up a bit, XNA kind of platform
How about something like XNA? where anyone develop titles for the psn, surely there wouldd be some crap overflow but something good HAS to come out of so much development time, it just has to.
Okay so this one point may be a my dirty little secret, but I think its something everyone could eventually benefit from.

+Search + Queue while playing media
This THIS! is that something extra that I would ask for, Seeing as this is more of an added feature rather than an already there feature that sucks. I heavily employ my ps3 as media player of choice in parties as I see it hell of a lot more spill proof than my laptop, I just stream the music from my laptop. but I sometime have to skip through 4 or 5 songs to get to some other cooler song, a search and queue feature would simply be kick ass.
The search feature could also be helpful for people with lots of media on their ps3 since its also a hassle scrolling through so much files or folders at times.

Resistance2 collectors same price as original (amazon whore)
Dudemullet | 1:13 PM on 12.04.2008 7 comments

Hey guys,

I've apparently become the local amazon whore, always posting the deals that I find. Well surfing through the games that I have on my wish list I just noticed that the collectors edition for resistance 2 is priced just the same as the original, so if you .really wanted that chimera action figure but thought it to be to pricey now's your chance.

I don't know if this is some kind of timed deal or the collectors edition just didn't sell well. So this might be something that ends abruptly, limited numbers or whatnot so get it while its hot.

unnoficial dtoid Nintendo Tour coverage
Dudemullet | 2:14 PM on 10.28.2008 2 comments

Hey dudes, I recently got news of this event nintendo tour, that appears to be Mexico only (based on city dates). I'm going to be attending the Monterrey city one and I'll be taking the most pictures possible for your viewing pleasure. Don't expect any *news* or groundbreaking announcements, it will only be official merchandise, tournaments and cosplaying(yay) at the most.

I know this probably doesn't interest most, but I'm pretty proud we get these kind of events this side of the border. I hope this event is a hit and Sony and Microsoft try to pickup the pace over here.
