DtoidSeattle-Vancouver is the local NARP group for Vancouver and Seattle area Dtoiders. We organize local gaming events, conferences, parties, competitions, getting drunk, etc, to bring our community together. Evergreens ftw!
Jealous that you don't live in hereaboots? Check out our friends and see if there's a NARP happening near you soon!
It's that time again! After a long hiatus, Dtoid Northwest is finally back to bring you the legendary NARPs you've always loved. Bring your games, your plastic guitars, your retro games, and of course yourself. There will be multiple Rock Bands to play on, old school stuff like Goldeneye tourneys and much in the way of drinking (unless your underage of course ;) It'll be all getting underway Friday, January 22nd-24th in Eugene Oregon. at the NARPCASTLE™
Scion has been nice enough to lend his castle for the festivities and it is located in the Eugene, Oregon area. He's letting people who are flying in or driving to stay as long as they need to recover for their long journeys home. There are plenty of beds and couches for sleeping dozens of people and even a working hot tub, so bring your swimwear, people!! This literally is like a little castle.
Please email us at dtoid-northwest(at)googlegroups(dot)com to join the official Northwest Google Group for more details, address, directions, etc.
For those of you part of DTOID San Fransisco, you can fly up for $40 round trip on Allegiant Airlines, please do come, it is going to be amazing and that is dirt cheap for a flight! Here is the website for the flight deals: http://www.allegiantair.com/ Scion, being the gentleman he is, is even willing to pickup anyone from the airport who needs a ride. Just be sure to pick the flight from Oakland to Eugene, Oregon.

Happy Christmaka or Festivus to all! That's right, Dtoid Northwest is celebrating the holidays just in the neck of time! It'll be Saturday, December 19th-20th (sleepover!!) at 7pm.
There will be a "white elephant" gift exchange, where everyone buys a super cheap-ass gift under like $5 and then we secretly swap for extra giggles. Much gaming will also be done, and oh...don't forget the drink, oh my! Did somebody say rum-filled eggnog? <_<
It's being held at somebody's house, outside the Seattle area so please email us at dtoid-northwest(at)googlegroups(dot)com for the address and directions, etc.
All you Seattle/Vancouverites unite for a night of gaming and good times! We're getting together this Saturday, March 14th in Seattle to celebrate the occasion! This is just a quick reminder, since there is less than a week to go before the big event! It's being held at somebody's house, so please email us at dtoid-northwest(at)googlegroups.com for all the info.
We will be playing lots of Left 4 Dead, and other games on 2 giant HD screens and probably doing some drinking of sorts (can I say that?) We might even head down to a local bar or something if we really want to get smashed! If you have any games that you really want to play, bring those too and see you all there!
[EDIT] If you're from the Portland Narp group, pleeez come too! kk thx bai
Yes that's right, we're huge now. We're combining our forces to create DTOID NORTHWEST (a conglomerate of the Seattle/Vancouver/Portland group™)
This is mainly to prepare for a huge Narp we'll be planning for the Destructoid 3 year anniversary party. It will most likely be happening somewhere in Seattle, since that's pretty central. Please join our new google group if you're part of this group, or the Portland group. Thanks!
Hey Dtoiders! I'm The Pelkus, and I'm here to inform you of a new Destructoid community in Seattle! We're actually combining forces with the current Vancouver group - led by the lustrous, illustrious DJ Duffy - to form ONE SUPER GROUP, like Velvet Revolver or the Jonas Brothers.
Together, we're hoping to get NARPs popping up around here like zits on your uncle's ass*, but without any of the herbal salves to make them go away in 24-48 hours. While we don't have any specific plans yet, the Destructoid anniversary is coming up in March, there's this little thing called PAX going on in August, and we're hoping to fill in the blanks between, so you can bet that the local power grid is going to see its capacity taxed as console hard drives spin up on both sides of the border. On the bright side, the heating bill should be pretty low until my cat jumps on my PS3, dashes around the house, and sets everything ablaze, god bless the little fire hazard.
Anyway! If you're local to the Seattle area and you like to game, join up with our Google group! If you're local to Vancouver and you like to game, join up with our Google group! If you'd like to help a poor Nigerian prince launder to his riches for the promise of a sizeable portion, please do not talk to me! But we're looking forward to hearing from all of you, gaming with all of you, and waking up next to you in strange locations with no memory of how we got there or why we're all wearing the front halves of cow costumes**.

My parole officer, Stanley Henderson, who must approve everything I do on the internet
Ok so hopefully this isn't too short of notice, but we will doing our first event, this Saturday night, starting at 7pm PST. Since everyone lives a little far out there and nobody knows each other, we will be doing this first event online! Yes, that's right, online gaming time!
Since we all seem to have different gaming consoles, let's just do this one on the PC! We will be playing a Steam game, most likely Team Fortress 2. If we can't all get a game going of that I suggest we go on Skype and chat a bit, get to know everyone and plan for a REAL event in person...here in Vancity, baby!
I've got most of you guys on the emailer, but if you haven't been added, please send an email to DtoidVancouver(at)gmail(dot)com. I'll be sending out an email soon with more details and stuff, ok?
