FanimeCon 2008 taking place this Friday through Monday
DtoidSanFrancisco | 8:24 PM on 05.21.2008 9 comments

Hey folks, CTZ here. The San Jose FanimeCon is taking place this weekend in the San Jose area. The sexy stud muffin known as Azereki will be there every day with a possibility of myself going on of the days.

To get an idea of what's going on, just head to their the FanimeCon Webs site. Azereki forwarded me their full schedule sheet and it looks like there's going to be a ton of shit going on. Most notable is the Yuri and Hentai action taking place between midnight and 3am.

Anyway, if you're thinking of going let us know by leaving a comment.

@Kryptinite:

That was a really anticlimactic guessing game.

I will be there in full cosplay glory. Yamamoto Takeshi from Hitman Reborn, for anyone familiar with the series. If we can get a headcount of the Dtoid people that are planning on attending we can/should probably have some sort of meet up. Toss me a line @ Profett@gmail.com with your number if you want to try to kick it with CTZ and I at some point during the weekend!

Jet lag is a mother fucker. It was the best I could come up with.

A few friends of mine are going. I'll send anything from Dtoid their way as "honorary (sluggy) members".

I like how the first event mentioned by DtoidSanFrancisco is taking place in San Jose.

I'll check in when something is mentioned that I can walk or cab to. I can't be the only one lazy enough to only attend events within City Limits, right?
Dyson's Destructoid Blog
No, you're not. I only attend city things, too. Unless the awesome CTZ and Husky chauffeur me around (which they kindly do ;)

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

Welcome to the Destructoid San Francisco group. This blog is meant for all Dtoiders that are in or near the San Francisco area. The purpose here is to set up community events such as NARPs and any type of get together like conventions, cons, industry events, etc. This is done for and by the community because sometimes, just talking to each other on the Internets isn't enough.

If you want to be added to the friend's list or want to set up some kind of party/event, then please just PM me.

Sign up for our Google Group! Please include your Dtoid name in the request :D

Jealous that you don't live in the San Francisco area? Check out our friends and see if there's a group near you!
