On August 21st and 22nd, Dtoid NY will be meeting up for some shenanigans with Dtoid Cinci's very own Joe Burling aka Buckfitches aka Dtoid's Master Wolf Wrangler and a special appearance from Angels Don't Burn aka Miggles. We are still in the planning phases of this event. But if you wish to meetup with us, just make sure that you will be able to meetup with us in Manhattan during those dates. This past weekend the wonderful people that make up Destructoid New York escaped the city and traveled all the way down to the southern tip of New Jersey for our very first Beach Narp. Our generous host Keener was gracious enough to let everyone stay at his place for the duration for the weekend and you can bet usual Destructoid New York shenanigans ensued. Of course it goes without saying that this combination of people in this specific setting resulted in an EPIC time. While I could put together a list of what happened throughout the duration of the weekend I have decided that a photo recap of the weekend would be much more appropriate!

While it started with calm video game playing...


It quickly escalated to full on NARPtitude. (And grilling! Grilling not pictured.)


Some (super exciting) Tiger Woods 10 frisbee golf was played!


Then everyone passed out (and a blanket was stolen for the evening.)


Saturday was off to the beach and a boardwalk arcade. (Which strangely we have a complete lack of beach pictures other than the header image.)

Some SUPER SERIOUS times were had.


And some EXTREME times were had.



We all convened for some Chinese food after and even fought crime in the process!

Upon returning to Keener's house for the evening, 8-player Singstar matches erupted as Team Red squared off with Team Blue





All in all, the weekend was incredible and thank you so much to everyone that made the trip out and assisted in making this happen.

Beach NARP recap tomorrow.

This Saturday is the third annual Wiimbledon event at the Brooklyn's famous Barcade and DTNY will be there. For those who are unfamiliar with the event, it is where people gather together for a Wii Tennis tournament and to drink a lot of beer. You can sign up for the event here. Unfortunately, there is a small entry fee this year of 4 dollars. The event starts at 10:00 AM so be up bright and early for this event. I hope to see you fine people at Barcade this Saturday.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Tri-State Area and elsewhere, I am happy to invite you all to the latest Dtoid New York event where we gather together for some fun times this Saturday. In the afternoon, we are going to honor our Lord Bale by seeing the movie Terminator Salvation. Afterwards, it will be fun times at power-glove's place. Hey Dtoid New York supporters, on the Memorial Day Weekend many of us are planning to come together for an awesome party on either the 22nd or 23rd of May. It will be at power-glove's place and is sure to be an awesome time for everyone who shows up. If you want to come, make sure to let us know in the comment section or tell us in the event thread in our Google Group. At the party, we will be showing the sports comedy classic, Slap Shot for our wind down movie. Good times will be had by all.
