YAY! I shall be going on both days :D! I suck at singing, but I'll go anyways.
Hope to see you guys there.
I really want to get to one of these, and karaoke sounds up my alley (if there are any songs available that I know...) - I'll need to see if I can work something out. I rarely venture into the city, though, hopefully I can get there without being turned around...also, how much should one be prepared to fork out for the karaoke and whatnot?
I'll be there. Not sure if I'll be staying overnight in the city, but I'll be there Friday for sure. Saturday I'm not too sure about, but definitely Friday.
I am totally confirmed.
Looks like this might be an epic end to the summer. I'll try my best to be there.
Bullet, it is 5 dollars an hour for each person excluding drinks and beverages.
I will be there :D
looks and sounds cool and all. but not really my thing. but i dont understand the paying to sing and stuff.
i remember when you just went to a bar and filled out a piece of paper and gave it to the announcer guy and he called your name for your song.
now you have to pay per song and also pay per hour just to stand there? and THEN the over priced NY drinks. maybe im missing something? is this a normal type bar? or a specialty company?
i guess it is a good way to milk the cash cow though.
Fetus, it's $5 an hour. Click the link and look at the place, it's really nice.
Put me down for Karaoke with my +1:).
Question, where in Penn Station are we meeting? Is it near the LIRR area, because that's the place I really know my way around, lol.
Actually, I'd better follow up on GG's post, as I haven't been to Penn Station in ages, and don't know what any of you guys look like (except Nintendoll), so some help for the New York-challenged might be a good idea in my case...
Also, do out-of-towners stay over with locals Friday night, or is there some other sort of arrangement along those lines?
We could meet up at the near the LIRR waiting room if the case need be.
If anyone needs a phone number to contact to make things easier, don't be afraid to ask.
in there like swimwear
Let's remember to sing karaoke Happy Birthday to Samit this time, guys.
I will be there!
ah i see. the place does look pretty swanky nice.
Should we dress up, ya think?
*dusts off party dress*
I think I'm going to try to make this...I just need to know 1) Where exactly in the terminal we'll be meeting/what to look for once I get there, and 2) If anyone local is willing to offer a couch to crash on for the night (I can whip up a mean bowl of Cap'n Crunch the next morning!).
So are we definitely meeting by the LIRR meeting room?
I know we can use phones to get in touch if necessary, but I want to make sure that's the agreed-upon spot.
Also, are there any changes in plans due to the likely inclement weather moving through the area over the weekend?
Yes, that is the spot where we will meet at.
