Hey, fellow midwesterners, Danl here. Just thought I'd give you an update with what us Dtoiders are planning for the rest of Flavor Country. As you may remember, we're planning on having the very first official Dtoid Midwest NARP
the fabulous Cedar Point amusement park
in Ohio on the weekend of August 14th
. What you probably haven't heard is that our friends across the pond, the wonderful men and women of Dtoid UK, are having a NARP the very same weeekend
. We're not quite sure exactly how we'll capitalize on this fact, but rest assured, there will be interaction of some kind. We're thinking of some exchange of gamertags / PSN names that faciliates copious online interaction, plus perhaps some Stickam shenanigans? We're still working on the particulars. If you have some ideas on the subject, hit the up one of many forms of communication. Oh you need a refresher on that stuff? I'm glad you brought it up. Dtoid Midwest is fully equipped with a Google group
, a Facebook group
, and a forum thread
. I know, we're pretty great.
Let's see, what else can I tell you? Oh, right, here's a thing: so, you might not be aware of this, but the Midwest is kinda big. So big, in fact, that in order to drive from my home in Minnesota to our NARP home base in Toledo, Ohio, I have to drive for approximately eleven and a half hours. In other words, it's roadtrip, motherfuckers. My fellow Minnesotan, the fabulously sexy Zombie Platypus, proposed that the two of us carpool to Ohio together, and that plan snowballed to include two other several other Midwesterners, specifically Fwhipple and PsychoSoldier, to be picked up along the way. So yeah. THAT'S gonna be a party.
So, you might be wondering, who else is going to be at this NARP? As of the last tally, here's what the guest list looks like:
(expressed any interest whatsoever)
So yeah. That's pretty sweet for our regions first NARP ever. It could be even, better, though! More are welcome! Come party with us!
Mkay, one last thing: we all love videogames. We want videogames to be played. However, our gracious and and astoundingly attractive host, Mr. Jon Bloodspray, does not possess the kind gaming hardware that might satisfy a such a large, ravenous group of gamers. So, what would you like to play at this thing? Would you be willing to bring some of your own games or consoles? Let us know. We'd love it.
That's all for now. Expect some roster updates and new pricing information in the weeks to come. Till then, stay sexy, folks.
