Maybe it's just me, but I realized after DBZ Budokai HD collection was announced, HD collections seem to be falling in from almost every series out there. While I won't argue that it is great to play some great classics like Metal Gear Solid 3 and Devil May Cry 3 on current gen consoles, do we really need those? It used to be that you would whip out the good old PS2, SNES or N64 to play these classics but now I just pretty much wait for the HD collection to eventually be announced. I don't think every game really deserves the HD collection treatment though. *Cough*Budokai*Cough*
Again maybe it's just me, but it kinda takes the fun out of owning the past gen consoles for some of the classic hits. It also makes me wonder... we will see collections of today's games in some "superior" collection or will consoles try to have backward support? Seeing as that HD collections sell, I have a feeling that it won't be the latter.
I will say though, bring out a Kingdom Hearts Collection... make sure it arrives on the 360 platform as well. Please?
