Hey folks, how's it going? A lot of you have been asking where we were, and long story short, we did record last week, but it honestly wasn't very good. And since this is not Failcast, even though we are drunks, we try not to fail, so we decided to record again instead of giving you, the listeners, a subpar podcast. We still used your same questions from last time, and Blehman was back from Austrailia, so we had our full cast in addition to this week's, and our first, community guest, Itemforty! If you need more reasons to listen to this week's show, here's some show notes!

0:22 - Welcome
0:37 - Sorry we're late
1:07 - Introduce Community Guest Itemforty!
2:20 - The drinking games begin
3:28 - Introduce hosts
10:10 - Cauliflower vagina
12:18 - Teabagging kangaroos
21:20 - Jesus makes you drink
24:42 - Joose
33:50 - CountingConflict & Coonskin05 have a lover's spat
35:40 - BigPopaGamer takes over hosting duties
36:12 - Modern Warfare 2 fapping
40:10 - King of Fighter XII review controversy
44:50 - Jon Holmes = Nintendo Defense Force
52:23 - Truck Nuts
54:45 - Coonskin05 tears into Nanbu
56:47 - Community question lightning round
1:02:30 - Toasts

This is a pretty hilarious episode if I do say so myself, so you should probably go ahead and give it a listen. We really appreciate everyone who does take time out of their day to listen to us and maybe have a few drinks with us, since we know there are tons better things you could be doing than listen to 5 guys ramble about random shit.

Music Credits:
Opening: Pantera - By Demons Be Driven
Break 1: Mr. Bungle - Platypus
Break 2: The Human Abstract - Vela, Together We Await the Storm
Break 3: Isis - Garden of Light
Break 4: Project Pat - Shut Ya Mouth, Bitch
Ending: Dead to Fall - Major Rager

Human Abstract, Isis, Bungle. I think I love you guys.

Have some DEP though next time, and I might just have to fly over there and molest each and every one of you.
I only listened to 40:10-44:50, but from what I heard, this might be the funniest podcast ever!
It's true, Failcast is very subpar...but we invented community guests!

"@Topher

I don't mean to sound hostile.. I lurve 2d fighting games. This just seems a step below the rest of the ones that have come out lately. My biggest problem is that I don't believe that this game is worth anywhere near the 60 dollar asking price. I'm a bitter and broke gamer...

I apologize for any hostilities."

Hostilities I'm willing to put up with. The "fishy" comment, not so much. Don't forget what website you're reading here. If you've got an issue with the review, topher@destructoid.com

Otherwise, you should think before you speak, drunk or not.
@ Topher

The thing is.. I did think before I said that. It just took some alcohol to grease the thinkin' wheels a bit.

All graphical arguments aside, I do have a problem with ripping an arcade game straight from the board and selling it for 60 bucks for consumers. Furthermore, I hate it when a website I actually trust would recommend something so devoid of any real content to it's readers.

I'm not going to compare one particular site versus another, but the general consensus among your peers is that KOF XII is a below-average game. You look at any published review for the game, and they all more or less echo my sentiment.

When reading the review, I see that your only major gripe about the game is the UI, and that the review is essentially incomplete without an online critique. Furthermore, I stand by my initial reaction that you seemed apologetic for a relative dearth of content in the game.

In addition to a few other things that I mentioned on the podcast, it just didn't really add up for me. So I said that it sounded a bit fishy. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when it varies so much from the general consensus; I can't help but believe that one of two things is happening.

1. You are a fanboy
2. Something more sinister is at work

I'm sorry if "fishy" seemed to be a direct attack of your professional integrity, but it was really a bit more broad than that. I'm willing to accept that you are a fanboy. Perhaps even moreso after reading your passive-aggressive BlazBlue tirade earlier this evening.

Sorry for any confusion.
"The thing is.. I did think before I said that."

Wow, I'm very sorry to hear that.

Lol, sinister. The gaming press world is all spooky watergate scandals, right? Someone says something you don't agree with and it can only mean foul play? I couldn't possibly have played it and reviewed it as I saw fit if it clashes with your own opinion, right?

We're all fanboys and we're all out to get you? Doing sneaky things when your back is turned? This isn't the federal government, kids. It's fucking vidjas. If you boys want to have me on as a guest sometime to chase away whatever media boogeyman keeps you awake at night, just let me know. Otherwise I'll assume youse jus trollan and go about my evening.
I'm not saying you, as a fanboy, are out to get me. Nor am I saying that it's some huge conspiracy that you don't like the game.

I was merely implying that your review sucked, and that I don't need to (only) question your "journalistic" integrity when you review a pre-release copy of a game without playing the entire thing.

I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I'm just being honest

@DanMazkin and Puppylicks

I grew up around Nathan (singer for the human abstract) and his family in Nashville. All of his older bands are pretty awesome too, if you can find them.

@DeBloo

Yes, this podcast is gangsta, but in the future, please post a member of NWA who didn't die of AIDS.

@TheGoldenAvatar

Keep asking it.. we'll have a decent answer for you sooner or later.

Thanks for listening guys.
You answered my question about Chun Li vs. Jill exactly the way I would have. Some parts of that were enjoyable to listen to while others just seemed really ignorant and spiteful.
Wait, what, there's ANOTHER Destructoid community podcast?!?! Where have I been?
great show guys, I love listening to the tone of voice change over the course of the episode - brilliant!

Texicast is awesome
COUNTING COLFLICT: Yo fucker, I just saw a photo of your gorgeous bearded self (admittedly it might be an old photo), and i think i'm in love, although you look like you should be a member of Mastodon, which is more than enough to give me an uncomfortably powerful erection. Not sayin thats a bad thing, just sayin, call me, now ;)
