It is a well known fact that many among the DToid community dislike GameStop for a multitude of reasons. Be it their incompetent staff, their automatic phonecalls, or their downright destruction of the profits from video game sales that should go to a game's creators.

Well, my friends... be afraid. Be very afraid.

Not only has GameStop assimilated other stores into its hive (EBGames, Funcoland), but the alarming rate and frequency in which they are popping up has becoming downright absurd. Allow me to illustrate this for you. I live in Illinois, US. As I drive to and from my place of work and my college, I am disgusted by the number of GameStops that I see. This might not seem like that big of a deal, until I inform you that my college and my place of work are both within 5 miles of my home.



How many GameStops do I get to see daily, then, you ask? Well, grasshoppa, allow me to show you! By simply inputing my zip code into GameStop's "store finder" on their website, it neatly lists them all for your viewing pleasure. Be warned, for this is not for the feint of heart.



As you can see, it is a constant bombardment of BUY, SELL, TRADE banners and neon lights luring innocent children into their hellish doorways. Oh, those evil, evil bastards...

Anyway, I just found it really ridiculous that there are 5 GameStop stores less than 5 miles from my home, so I thought that I'd kick off my first Community Blog entry with this tale of horror. Cheers!
