(NVGR) 10 Things That You Might Not Know About Drel
Drel | 4:48 AM on 02.01.2009 14 comments

Quite a few people have made this sort of cblog talking about themselves, so I figure I might as well jump on the bandwagon as well.

1. I am an unorganized person.

Last night when I was trying to look for my DS, I found an instruction manual for Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, a Super Game Boy I borrowed from someone in Jr. High School, and a copy of Chrono Cross. That should tell you how much I am lacking the organization department.

2. Every Christmas I watch my “Disney Sing Along Christmas Songs” tape.

I’m kind of embarrassed about admitting this; you know being a 24 year old guy and all. I guess it’s just a combination of common Christmas tradition, and nostalgia.

3. When I was a kid, I would get my cousin in trouble playing games.

I used to have having my cousin over whenever there was some sort of a family reunion. I remember one time specifically when I was playing Contra on the NES with him. We were on the waterfall level and he was really getting on my nerves being really annoying, I used to go up so high at the top of the screen, that he wouldn’t be able to catch up and he would die. He would get so mad and yell so loud that his mother came to see what was going on. I would tell her that he was getting mad over the game were playing, she would then try to calm my cousin down but he kept on yelling. She eventually grounded him for like 2 weeks. I thought I was hot stuff being able to do that.

4.I miss the first dog really bad.

My mother had a dog before I was born. I remember very vividly being a four year old playing around with her. She was my first best friend. Around the time I was in junior high I was when I started playing video games more and more. I remember many times when I was be on my pc playing Raptor: Call of Shadows, she would stand right outside my door, looking at me in such a way that I knew that she wanted to play outside with me. I chose to stay and ignore her and play my games. Months later I remember coming home from the bus stop, I went inside to look around and I noticed that my dog was nowhere around. I learned from my Mom that she died in her sleep and she had to bury her at my Grandmother’s house. I was absolutely heartbroken. I felt so bad that I didn’t get to spend as much time as I could during her final days.

I miss you Sandy! :(

5. I have bought multiple copies of the same game.

Not at the same time though, I used to have a copy of the Final Fantasy Anthology for PS1. I eventually traded that in, and when I got a DS I bought the gba copies of FF5 and FF6.

6. I love old Disney Cartoons .

The one I linked below is my favorite

(Take note of what Goofy says around 5:30)

7. I have really good luck when it to finding good video game deals.

The best deal I ever stumbled on to was in the last 90s when I was at a Blockbuster a saw that they were liquidating all of the sega Saturn games they had in stock. Much to my luck all of the good games were left, Panzer Dragoon Zwei, Virtua Cop 2, Fighter’s Megamix, and Virtual On. I got all of that for around 30 bucks.

8. I was a handsome young boy back in the day.

At least that’s what my mom always said.

9. Cream Soda and Chili Cheese Fritos is my drink/snack combo of choice.

I CHALLENGE YOU TO THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER THAN THAT.

10.I am a gigantic wuss.

I don’t like horror movies, or scary games for this reason. I really can't figure out why people like to be scared.
